This was our favourite place to stay in our whole trip round various parts of Costa Rica. The gardens make for a gorgeous setting and a pleasant short walk. We saw agotis, butterflies, giant toads and hummingbirds all within the premises, not to mention the beautiful flowers. The hosts are a family business who made us feel right at home and helped us with transfers to and from our other destinations. We had a spacious and comfortable apartment with a peaceful balcony with a beautiful view, and the breakfast was fantastic - the best gallo pinto we ate! Located very near the Chirripo national park office and nearby organic shop and cafe/bar Kapi Kapi (thoroughly worth a visit).

It’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature and watch the Costa Rican wildlife, we were able to spot a lot of animals while here. We had a very peaceful stay, the position is great, the centre of Rivas is easily accessible. The hosts are incredible! They have been very helpful throughout our stay, with many suggestions and tips about places to visit and activities to do. We’ll definitely be back and we recommend it to everyone who’d like to experience and authentic stay immersed in nature.

Perfect tiny house perched at +2000m high in the mountains with an unbeatable view on the valley below all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Hard to beat if you want some quiet, or hike in the mountains. It's small but functionnal, clean, with proper hot water and easy access. The hosts live nearby and have been very responsive. Pura Vida!

Jessie and his family are awesome hosts, the house was lovely with a great view. The kitchen and other facilities had everything you needed, even a washing machine was there to use. Would definitely stay there again!!!

To keep it short, stay here and you'll never want to leave again. The cabin sits on the edge of the mountain and has an amazing view over the valley and the surrounding nature. A nearby stream runs through the blackberry fields and when the clouds circle the cabin, the fire keeps you warm and toasty. I could go on forever about each delicious meal brought to our doorstep, the shower which competes with 5* Hotel showers (and would win), the people living in the nearby pueblo and the nature which reminds me so much of the alpes. Erlyn and his fairy helpers made our stay pure enjoyment!! I will be back, probably when it is time to harvest wild blueberries :)

All the staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. We stayed here for the hiking trails and weren't disappointed. Beautiful and very challenging but waterfalls were well worth the effort.

The location is excellent to go to Chirripo National Park. Just about 50m and you are in the beginning of the track. When leaving early for the hike, they pack you your breakfast. Room had all you need, basic stuff. Bed was clean and had blankets also. You can leave your car in the parking lot if you stay overnight in the national park. Very convinient.
