Wonderful clean and well equipped

unique experience. we appreciated early check in as thru hikers. I had to pinch myself to know this ‘cave’ was real. we loved it, and Setenil.

Beautiful Area. House was in a great location and host was very friendly and helpful. Used house as a base and travelled to Ronda and Cadiz. Would definitely recommend.

The location was spectacular! We went for a drink at a nearby bar while we were waiting to check in and were admiring 3 balconies with flowers on (as were many passers by) not realising that was our apartment! The apartment is very iconic as it sits below the most overhanging part of the rock, creating a 'cave' over the street - it even features on many of the fridge magnets in the local gift shops (of course, we bought one!) Despite being in such an amazing location, it was very quiet at night and we slept great. The apartment itself is accessed from the street but you go up a set of stairs to access the front door. It's set out as a duplex apartment with a living area, kitchen, and bathroom on the first floor, and 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The balconies were a showstopper for me - wow! There were 3 juliette balconies on the street side, plus 1 juliette balcony and one larger furnished balcony at the back of the apartment overlooking the river (dry when we visited in August) and the other main tourist 'rock' street. The bedrooms were modern and very comfortable, with both having their own balconies. The bedroom at the front has rock coming through the wall and ceiling- an incredible and unique feature which the hosts had incorporated perfectly into the design. The living areas on the first floor were a little more traditionally decorated but still very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped - the best of our 10 day trip travelling around Andalucia. There were lots of plates, cups, glasses, pans, a tray, 4 hob rings, a microwave, toaster, and a kettle. The hosts had even left us 2 cold bottles of water in the fridge, which we were very grateful for. The hosts were lovely and allowed us to check in a little earlier when our plans changed at the last minute.

The host was there to meet us, was very friendly, gave all the directions and tips for our stay. The house had a great view as was mentioned in the description, in the city center (just make sure you park around the city center, because the roads ar every narrow for big cars). The rooms were spacious and clean with all amenities. Although it was raining, heating facilities were available and we could heat the house. Also, the house was filled with everything we needed (even coffee machine at the terrace and tea bags (like hotel service)). we totally enjoyed our stay (we had our little puppy with us). if we go back to Setenil de las Bodegas, this house will totally be our first choice again!

This house was beautiful - very clean, and lots of space. It is perfectly located and easy to check in at any time of day thanks to the keys in the box. The host is very communicative via whatsapp, and this made our stay so easy and peaceful. Muchas gracias!
