Family hotels and homes in Naviti Island

If you want a relaxing few days this place is for you. Opened earlier in the year and only 5 rooms are open at present (3 private’s and 2 dorms I think). I believe there will be 10 rooms in total when they open fully. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and it wasn’t a dorm as such - 4 single beds, beautiful en suite and even better outdoor shower which was powerful and had hot water. Very sturdy buildings - not like the tents in other resorts. Everywhere was extremely clean. Staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome - the service is second to none.. No unnecessary check in process - they just welcomed you, showed you to your room and you just paid for everything on check out. Meals are chosen off a set menu for breakfast lunch and dinner - you choose your next meal during the prior meal. Lots of choose from western food to local food. I 100% believe it’s cooked fresh and I saw some fishermen taking their catch from the sea to the restaurant. They have snorkelling from the beach front which I did - I believe it’s a lot better if the boatman takes you for free towards the island but the winds took off when I was there so unfortunately gave that and the kayaking a miss as I’d get blown to the next island. If you want lots of people this isn’t for you - there was around 7 people during my stay but a nice mix of couples and solo travelers and just somewhere calm to read a book and relax. Fresh coconuts and mango provided for you during the day. They also have a kind of communal big table where solo people can sit and chat to other solo people.

- The staff are really nice and make sure you have a great time! - We had some nice vegetarian food. - The location is beautiful on a beach you have pretty much to yourselves with other beaches nearby to explore. - Great areas around to swim and snorkel.

That it was real, un-glossy insight into Fiji village life today.

Tai Evi homestay was the highlight of our trip to the Yasawa islands and we wish we could've stayed for longer. It is basic accommodation but perfect for what we needed and we stayed right in the village with Silo's family. The food was delicious. There is lots to do - we saw the manta rays in the manta ray passage which is a boat trip away as well as amazing reef. The beach is also nice with some good coral as well. It was also the 1st year anniversary of the homestay whilst we were there so we had a BBQ with the family and all the guests and we helped with some of the preparation of the food. However, the highlight for us was the company and people that we met here :)

Staying at Tai Evi Homestay in Soso Village was an unforgettable experience filled with warmth and community. The village, with around 600 people and 90 children attending the local school, welcomed us with open arms. Everywhere we walked, we would hear "Bula" being called out to us from peoples homes and yards. On the evening of our arrival, we met with the chief and brought offerings to get his blessing for our stay. Silo, Bill, Va, Rovini, Ike, Peter, and Loochi—made us feel like family. We enjoyed safe snorkeling in the vibrant coral reefs just off the beach, and the boat ride to the village while short, was filled with stunning views. The money spent for our two-night stay, felt like a small price for the rich cultural experience and genuine connections we made. The food prepared by Va was delicious, the bathroom, shower, and accommodations were clean, and we even had a power bar to recharge our devices during the day. We brought water with us, but were pleased to find out they had filtered water for us too if needed. If you're looking for adventure and a genuine experience, you have found your homestay! We wished we could stay longer, and hope to be back again! Current cost breakdown: 1. Accommodation: $96 FJD for 2 nights (booked via Booking.com). 2. Chief Offering: $25 FJD for kava (if needed to purchase in the village otherwise buy in Nadi) + $10 FJD per person for the ceremony, which goes to helping the village. 3. Boat Ride: $35 FJD for a one-way boat ride for the both of us (20-30 minutes). 4. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner: $50fjd per person/day 5. Reasonably priced activities which include snorkeling/picnic, fishing, manta ray snorkeling (when in season and they are around), school visit, weaving etc.

Beautiful family and community in the village. Super receptive to questions, communication was superb.

This place is a paradise for relaxation and adventure! Crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and stunning beaches provide the perfect setting. The staff is exceptional—friendly, welcoming, and passionate, often creating a joyful atmosphere with singing and dancing. The serene environment and beautiful marine life make it an unforgettable experience.

The staff are so happy to interact. I get the feeling they all enjoy their days. The food was excellent and the snorkeling good right here. We are staying another 3 nights, it's so nice.

We had a great stay at the resort. The food was very good, the accommodation was beautiful and accessorised, there were plenty of activities available for adults and kids... strongly recommended
