The stay at Battery Valley Farm was excellent. It was a unique experience for us. It is an active farm located not far from the town of Albert. The place offers cozy and pleasant rooms and a breakfast that includes farm-fresh ingredients. We arrived with only one day to visit the monuments and museums dedicated to the Battle of the Somme and were quite confused about how to plan our day. We received a lot of help from Mireille, the owner, who is a great expert in tourism in the area. Mireille presented us with the available options and helped us organize our visit. The hotels historic significance. The family who run the hotel are simply brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms, on both occasions we have stayed there, were simply fantastic. Immaculately clean and beautifully furnished in keeping with the building's history. Breakfast was well set out and of excellent quality. We are certainly going back next year en-route to Italy.
