We loved everything about this hotel. First of all the staff was nice and provided us with everything making us feel so welcome. The breakfast was amazing. We had access to a private beach. Our room had a sea view with a view to the island of telendos. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were decorated beautifully. The WIFI was working perfectly. I would definitely come here again. Thank you again for an amazing time in Kalymnos.

Very nice hotel, clean room and beautiful view. It is close to all the shops, restaurants, the beach and bus stop. Friendly staff. Very recommended!

I like all the staff in Recepcion which help me every time with my questions. They were really smart and everyday with smile. Also swimming pool was included during my Holiday. I really like also the kalymnian cats which can stay in the yard of hotel. They were like sweet and silent guests for me.

The position of the place is perfect if you arrive late. 10 min walking across the port. Very kind owner! Katerina waited for me until 10 pm. The apartment is very beautiful and well equipped with the kitchen and the washing machine. There was a small cute gift on the pillow and the fridge was full of tasty things. I spent very nice time there.

A great variety of different tastes from fresh local products. A really rich buffet that is the best beginning of your day !

I have had the best stay. I booked last minute because I was very unhappy with my last accommodation and the location and wanted to be closer to the port with more options. I would recommend checking out their website before booking. George got me an amazing price for a Delux room. I emailed them and they emailed me back immediately. They organised a taxi for me with their cousin Nektarious who is the BEST taxi man I ever had. I was so sad in Emporios and he brought me on a beautiful, scenic drive to my hotel and played my favourite music along the way :) On arrival, I was greeted by the best hotel owner I have ever met. George is absolutely amazing. I was very down and sad about wasting money on another location. He gave me a gin and orange juice (refused payment), a bag of ice for a nice cold bath (it's hot here) candles and a lighter for the bathroom (don't use these in the rooms, too much wood and could cause a fire!) And I relaxed. I was feeling much happier. During my stay he gave me food, drinks and anything I wanted. All with the famous Greek hospitality. The breakfast is the best I've ever seen. George believes in less options but FRESH, homemade desserts, good quality food. This said, there were lots of options! Cinnamon swirls, banana bread, chocolate bread, Greek pastries, apple pie, Nutella buns, bread, cereals, ham, cheese, Greek yoghurt, watermelon etc etc too much to name.... George's family are FABULOUS. I love his father! If he is eating and you walk past, he will try to give you whatever he is eating! I got wonderful fresh watermelon and a slice of pizza another day! He is so friendly and funny. The room is so beautiful and authentic. The hotel is amazing. Traditional, authentic, it's heaven. It was perfectly clean. My room is fabulous. It has beautiful old wallpaper and furniture with long draping curtains overlooking the city and port. It still had that quirky feel about it, like I was staying in a different time... Vintage.

When you visit the Archontiko Hotel Kalymnos, it is hard to even think about going to another island. Kalymnos itself is a hidden treasure of hospitality, tradition, and vibrancy. Everywhere you go, you hear melodies, you see groups of young people laughing, dancing, and enjoying life. The island reveals its character through its history: the island of captains, the world’s climbing capital, the island of sponge divers and elegant mansions. To truly experience this authenticity, we chose the Archontiko Hotel Kalymnos and we never regretted it. The hospitality we received was warm, genuine, and deeply touching. The official owner of this historic building welcomed us personally and guided us through the story of the hotel. Through old photographs and his narration, we traveled back in time, learning about the full restoration that was completed just two months ago. It was a unique experience of traditional hospitality, blending the charm of the past with the comforts of today. One of the greatest advantages of Archontiko Hotel Kalymnos is its location: only a 3-minute walk from the port, you step off the ferry and within minutes you are in your room. In just one minute, you are in the heart of the island’s nightlife with cafés, bars, and restaurants. The local market is right there too – fresh fruits, traditional shops, even the daily catch from the fishing boats, ready to be enjoyed with ouzo at a seaside taverna. And yet, despite being so close to the vibrant life of the town, the hotel offers peace and tranquility, standing right by the sea. It is a rare contrast – having everything at your doorstep, while still enjoying serenity and beautiful sea views. This is the exact experience we had, and we recommend it wholeheartedly.

George WhatsApped independently clearly knowing the times of our flights which was a nice touch. Usually I would have to email the accommodation to remind them of when we were getting there.

The apartment was fantastic and spotlessly clean. The hosts were impeccable, grateful, and hospitable. They helped us with everything we needed. The mini bar with soft drinks and snacks pleasantly surprised us. What made our stay unforgettable was the magnificent view of the sea and the island of Telendos. Anyone planning to visit the island should go to Aegean Whisper. We definitely recommend it!
