Oh my, where to begin! Family-run Familia Hotel totally exceeded our expectations.. Initially we booked our stay for 2 nights, but we ended staying for an extra third night because we just did not want to move our base in Ithaka. Shortly: we felt extremely welcomed from the first minute, had the best sleep during our 2 weeks Kefallonia + Ithaka trip in Familia Hotel + also the location is perfect, the breakfast very fresh and variable, all the staff are absolutely genuine, friendly and humble. Our warmest recommendations and greetings to Familia Hotel, thank you SO much Chrtistina and Co! Hopefully we will have the chance to visit again soon!

The apartment is spotlessly clean, quiet, spacious with a good size balcony (we stayed in Afroditi apartment with a sea-view). The location is perfect, especially if you do not have a car. The noisy road can not be heard, but the way from the main road is not long and not steep. Just around the corner there is a great cafe Dentrakia, a small supermarket is also close by, and the center of Vathy with all the nice restaurants, bakeries, cafés and shops are in a 10-minute walk. A gorgeous beach called Dexa is just 12-minute by foot. Hristo, the owner is super friendly, helpful, guest-oriented and very kind, fast in replying, though speaks little English, but the translation apps can help. There was daily cleaning and a change of bed-linen after two days. The kitchen is properly equipped, you can cook, bake, there is a kettle and a toaster, too. In the fridge 2 big bottles of water, and couple of small butter and jams were waiting for us plus a pack of rusk, coffee capsules, tea-bags and sugar. The bathroom is not big, but also very clean, toiletries were provided, the water pressure was perfect and hot water was always available. The air-condition functioned very well, too. We highly recommend to book Iris Apartment which is in a traditional Ionian Ithacan house for your stay in Ithaca.

First of all - this place is breathtaking! The view from the room is something that is impossible to reflect in the pictures. It is such magical place that it is there to experience it. And the owners Gerasimos and his wife are the kindest people, I will never forget your help with your own car at the start Gerasimos, thank you very much ♡ Ithaki is a special island that took over our hearts and Calypso apartments is the place you just dont want to leave. This hotel is very atmospheric. Our room overlooked the bay in Vathy. The restaurants are close by. The staff went out of their way to give us a good stay. Not surprisingly we enjoyed our time at the Korina Gallery Hotel.
