As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.

This is a tightly run place with clean little rooms, 5-star shared bathrooms and a quiet reverence for the surrounding nature that you often get in a conservation area setting. My kid loved the pool. My dad loved the restaurant. We did the sunset tour offered through the lodge with Fernando. We really enjoyed the pace that he set (chill out and go at his speed and you'll get more out of it) and the insights he offered on Mayan Biopsphere ecology, Tikal history and present-day culture of the indigenous people of Guatemala. Really special.

The easy access to the park. The sound of the monkeys at night the pool has wifi. Meals were affordable. Room was comfortable. Beds were comfortable and it was so nice and dark at night.

The location was a great experience, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean and accomodating to our family of four. We didn't use the outdoor hot tub, but we loved the pool area and the staff were accommodating in allowing us to have drinks at the pool.

Overall it’s a very pretty jungle place and you can get a room with shared bathroom for a very affordable price however these rooms do not have aircon and it’s hot and humid in the jungle!
The staff were great

Great location, inside the National park but just outside the archaeological site. Family room great for us travelling with three kids. Well organised transfer from airport after a late flight (although not cheap).
Helped us with tickets after we were misinformed regarding minimum age for children requiring tickets (Banrural told us 13 but in fact it is 10)
We accidentally left important medication at the hotel and the response was fantastic - they arranged to transport it straight to Flores for us. We can’t thank the staff enough for this.
