Beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was great and the water was hot. Nice sized refrigerator and location was walking distance to town. The free parking was nice and we appreciate being able to pick up our key when we needed it.

This property was exactly as described. It was clean and ready for us, despite our somewhat last-minute booking. Carmel was a gracious and communicative host and also brought us really incredible pastries! We used this as a quick one-night stopover and it was perfect. The central location allowed us to enjoy the town, grab dinner and a drink, and get some rest in the very comfortable bed before continuing our journey. My boyfriend and I both work remotely and are dependent on Wi-Fi. The signal strength was strong and it was easy to connect. The price was reasonable and we would happily stay here again. The few small things we needed assistance with during our stay were quickly addressed by Carmel. I highly recommend this property.

I was expecting an older worn out hotel but this was very tastefully and recently updated. The bed was very comfy, reception and lounge areas smartly appointed and plentiful.

This apartment was exceptional so clean modern comfortable and relaxing. The host was so warm and welcoming. The added touches of hot drinks scones biscuits was so lovely. The decor is beautiful. A super shower and big thick fluffy towels were greatly appreciated. We loved Tyson the dog. We will definitely return The property is in a great location and access to motorways very easy. A shop pub and off licence just right across the road and the property is safe and secure with electric gates.

I have been traveling across Ireland for two weeks and I have stayed more than a dozen hotels and B&Bs. Summergrove is simply the best in terms of its offerings and value. The host put a lot of thoughts and indeed heart in the restoration of this grand house. It is grand but not pretentious, charming but practical, beautiful but down to earth. While I enjoyed the classic decorations of my bedroom, I also feel very much at home while sipping coffee in the kitchen that would have been typical in a farmhouse. Speaking of the coffee (which is absolutely fantastic), one should definitely try the breakfast prepared by the host. It’s healthy and delicious at the same time which is a rarity in Ireland. I wish I had planned more time in this wonderful and memorable place, enjoying the elegant private library, for example. I shall be back though. A place like this cannot easily be forgotten or overlooked. I miss it already.

I loved the warm welcome we received upon arrival greeted with tea and lovely homemade cake. Host was wonderful sharing the history of this old building and their hopes to make the stay for their guests the best possible. They have a wonderful canine greeter Prim, a very friendly dog who loved to receive new guests. The room "Bishops room" was spacious and beautiful with a beautiful view, we were able to peak in to other rooms and each room is decorated according Riding the the era of the home with beautiful antiques. The breakfast was exceptional, the presentation perfect using their own free range eggs and they raise their own happy pigs that you can see from the site so bacon and ham was delicious. Surrounding is lush and absolutely gorgeous, definitely go on a walk (host has a map with information)
