There are plenty of good local restaurants, and regular buses into the town centre. The hotel owner could not be more helpful. I arrived much earlier than planned and she happily accommodated this, opening my room early. She speaks excellent English, French and German, and is an excellent source of information. Small charming family hotel, excellent location, very close to bus station, train station (Stop: Como Lago) and ferry. The best restaurants and cafes on the lake shore are just around the corner. The rooms were very cosy and clean, bathroom small but you really don’t need bigger one, very comfortable bed, air conditioning was good. The owner Isabella was very kind and helpful. The apartment is large and equipped with everything necessary. The key is picked up with no personal contact. The building has a lift. The balcony offers a very nice view. The host was very kind and prepared some snacks for breakfast and sweets for the kids.
