Rosanna was extremely nice, accommodating and welcoming! She was there on arrival and showed us around and where all the amenities were. We found everything we needed for breakfast and the apartment was spotless. The place has a very classical deco which takes you back in time. The location is ideal is you want to explore the eastern side of Sicily - Taormina and Catania are about 30-45 minutes away, as is Mt Etna. Giarre itself is a very lively town and worth a walk along its streets and a visit to the city square. The bells ringing enthusiastically every 15 minutes from the nearby church made the atmosphere feel typically Sicilian but they do stop during the night :-)
