Great view of mountains from the property. Cabin is full of character, with interesting alpine decor and is very clean. Host is easygoing and very helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend this as a base to explore Kirishima.

Staying at this Ryokan was a fantastic experience. We opted for the set dinner and breakfast, which were elaborate and delicious, and enjoyed the riverside and indoor family onsens. I was expecting some formality, but very friendly staff (English spoken) and relaxed atmosphere. Very good written information about Japanese bathing customs etc. Also, although not cheap, very good value.

Absolutely magical place, hidden in a mountain valley, surrounded by lush forest. The rooms look directly onto the river and are very generously spaced. Sadly we were only there for one night. Big mistake, it feels like you could spend an eternity there.

I love Kirishima and highly recommend you visit! This house was beautiful, clean and with excellent facilities. The private onsen was superb. Great location if travelling with car. Highly recommend. I also recommend the nearby strawberry cake shop, delicious!

The house is located beautifully in the middle of the National Park surrounded by trees. It is decorated thoughtfully and felt like a home far from home.
