Lovely owner, great location, we were very happy to find a nice and affordable place to stay at the Island. Accommodation fits right into the whole artsy vibe of the island. Owner had great tips for restos, where to swim and bath house.

The location of the hotel was excellent: somewhat in between of the two main art sites. Staff was super friendly, efficient and helpful. Rooms of a decent seize, modern and functional design. Excellent western restaurant next door, which serves also the (included) breakfast. I will come back to Naoshima and I will certainly stay again in this excellent hotel. Highly recommended!

It was cozy and clean. The whole little bungalow style accommodation had a calm and relaxed vibe. It was practical that one had the possibility to cook and do laundry. And let the laundry dry outside fresh air! Practical! The accommodation also offers bikes you can lend for the day, which was comfortable. The accommodation had three restaurants as direct neighbours an italian restaurant, an Okonomiyaki Restaurant and a Ramen restaurant. Fun!

The house is very nice and comfortable. It is well located and clean. The owner took good care of us as we ran into unexpected circumstances (as our ferry was delayed). The house was clean and functional. It is well located and there are good restaurants around. It was very useful to have the bikes available as well as the amenities provided.

Fabulous experience and nice and cosy Yurts. It was a lot of fun staying here. Bathroom and facilities are spread out like a camping ground but it’s so unique and comfortable that you just accept it as part of the experience. Staff and charcoal grill was terrific.

What a unique experience, right on the beach looking overlooking the yellow pumpkin by Yayoi Kusama!! The bbq dinner on site was recommended to us by hotel staff as there’s not much open in the evenings and I highly recommend it. It was super unique and a nice way to enjoy the campsite, we told them we were vegetarian which was no issue, we didn’t feel like we were missing out because we were given so many vegetables and tofu types to grill. The private bath was also a fun authentic experience they offer.

Good location, next to the beach. Was very scenic. Feels like a more affordable alternative to the nearby Benesse House stays. They provide yukatas and the traditional Japanese room had a toilet and private bathtub for use. I would recommend to bring your own conditioner, but shampoo and body soap is provided.

We had a fantastic stay at Rumiko’s ‘Artisanal’. Beautiful and very! Comfortable spacious space located conveniently between all the highlights of the island close to the Benesse House. Electric bikes made getting around fun, fast and easy. Rumiko is super helpful! The beds are amazing and were a welcome change on our travels through Japan.

We stayed here as a family with three children under 10s. The house was very clean and all the amenities were thoughtfully prepared. The bed was very comfortable, and we could sleep really well. They had everything we need for the cooking area. And the Sparky’s café’s breakfast was amazing.
