We had a wonderful stay at this lovely accommodation. It’s located in a very quiet and peaceful area, yet still very convenient — just a few minutes’ drive to supermarkets, convenience stores, and restaurants. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a lot of care. It truly feels like a home away from home. There were six of us, and the space was more than enough for everyone to feel comfortable. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, and even went out of their way to help us make a dinner reservation — we really appreciated that kind gesture. The place is also very well-equipped with everything we needed. We only stayed for one night this time, which felt far too short. Hopefully, we’ll have the chance to come back and stay for a few more days next time. Overall, this stay went beyond my expectations. Highly recommended!

Stefano is very friendly and accommodating. He made us fresh bread and jam. It’s really good! Room is very clean and well equipped with towels, toiletries even toothbrushes. I also like that there is plenty of hangers and space to hang clothes. Space for luggage too. Fridge, kettle and coffee machine available for use. Free parking too! Convenient to visit Mt Aso and Takachiho Gorge from here.

Amazing host for a fantastic traditional hostel. The room was like expected, the shared bathroom and the kitchen was completely clean. You can wash your clothes for free. Host was helpful in every way imaginable.

Our stay was perfect! We decided to enjoy the beauty of Aso a bit longer and booked the house quite late, but everything went great. The host was very kind and communicated with us in English. When we arrived, it felt like visiting parents in a cozy country home — we felt so comfortable. And the breakfast was delicious! The location was beautiful - the windows overlooked rice fields and a forested areas. We were able to enjoy nature without having any creepy crawlies enter the property. The house was spotless and the furniture and equipment looked very new. The house had pretty much all the basic amenities we expected and we had a very comfortable 1-week stay, cooking lots of meals from the kitchen in the property. We also loved that there was a BBQ pit embedded in a table right on our own porch. We had many barbecues during our stay because it was lovely to grill our meats while enjoying the early summer weather in the evenings. The property owners were also responsive and helped us with the queries we had very quickly over Booking.com messaging. The shower and bath were very clean and new. We enjoyed hot baths using the tub which filled automatically. All in all, we were very sad to leave! We loved how quiet and close to nature the house was and loved the beautiful views of the area. We were also able to use the property as a base to visit Mt Aso for hiking and make day trips to Takachiho Gorge. We would love to stay again at this property.
