A lovely, modern hotel with relatively large rooms, every amenity you could want, an excellent restaurant, and a beautiful onsen and restaurant complex next door. Just across the street from the train station and a very short walk catty-corner to the ferry terminals. The staff was terrific, both in the hotel and restaurant, and did everything possible to make us feel like honored guests. An extra touch was free coffee/tea/snacks/ice cream and as much bottled water as we wanted. One of our favorite hotels on our 3-month trip.

I would highly recommend this stay to anyone visiting Uno or the nearby art islands. The host was incredibly attentive both ahead of our visit and during - sharing helpful recommendations. The space was super cool with beautiful fittings, comfy beddings and towels, delicious coffee, smart tv and overall very relaxing. The l location was perfect for getting about town too with lots of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance

Our hosts were extremely attentive and helpful. They gave us rides when we needed them, which was so helpful as the house is a little far from the port or train station. Their little house was spotless and very comfortable. The bedding/futons were thick and new--the sheets were also new and had a high thread count. We were provided everything we needed--towels, soaps, shampoos, etc. Could not ask for a sweeter little house or nicer hosts!

It had everything we need for our family of 4. Masako, the host, was incredibly friendly and picked us up at the port and also dropped us back too. She even made us onigiri for our trip out of Naoshima! Best host ever :)

The house is recently updated, with an abundance of tasteful decorations and carefully curated design elements. In addition to the Western bedroom and work nook, the extensive tatami rooms were lovely and great to hang out in. The outdoor patio was also very cute. The location was extremely convenient to ferry port at Miyanoura. It was walking distance to all of the coffee shops, restaurants, and markets in the town.

words cannot being to make this place justice. if you have the chance to stay here—do it. in a small island off the coast of naoshima, the most stunning restored japanese house, filled with art, records, insanely beautiful furniture, and the most comfortable beds you can imagine which are a dream after a long day of biking around the nearby islands. every room in yota's house is a universe on its own—we could have stayed forever exploring all the magazines and listening to all the CDs and records, and eating all the delicious food! every dinner dish was so flavorful and delicious, it was by far one of the best meals of my life and the highlight of my trip to japan. my friend and i will cherish these memories forever. thank you so much yota-san!

We enjoyed every minute of staying in this traditional well preserved Japanese house filled with art, mid century objects and books on fashion and photography. Perfect for art lovers! Kuni and Akkie are the most attentive and welcoming hosts. Next time I’m on Naoshima, I would love to come back to this beautiful home!
