It was our privilege to be able to stay in this amazing, historical accommodation. It was very quiet and relaxing, and we slept great. Breakfast was delicious. Seunghwan, the owner, and his family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and they even gave us a few rides around the area, for what we are really grateful. Exceptional site. The hotel, a hanok, is in a pieceful and beautiful environment. The staff is extremely helpful, the host is a very elegant person and passionnate about the hotel, the korean history. There is a welcome tea which is highly appreciated, and the opportunity to have a dinner according to old recipies ( mode than 500 years) that have been modernized by the chef chose family did write the cool book. Each meal is explained. Unique and wonderful experience. As well the location is excellent, close to Hahoe Folk Village, 1 km

We had a great time in Taehwa House! We came to Andong to visit Hahoe Folk Village, but weren't very lucky with the weather. So it was particularly delightful to find refuge in this nicely decorated and elegantly refurbished hanok. The owner was very friendly, welcoming and warm and swiftly answered all our questions. She even left some lovely gifts for us. We were so wet and cold when we arrived, that we just decided to stay in for the rest of the evening and enjoy the stay in the hanok. We would have loved to stay for a bit longer, but unfortunately time is always too short. Thank you vary much for a great stay in Andong!

A gorgeous quaint little guest house in a central location bed was duper comfortable with beautiful bed linen. The tiny bathroom was by far their best organised of any we stayed in of this size. Outside sitting area was good and they retro antiques added character. Very helpful list if things to do places to eat etc provided along with a tablet to scroll through. Outstanding value for money

I had a really nice stay. The place is beautiful, comfortable and very comfy. The staff is amazing and the cats are so cute. I would go back there.

This brand new hotel ticked all the boxes! Excellent location in a newly developing area. Lots of eateries nearby; a jogging trail around the lake at the back of the property; walking trails in local parks across the road, and all just 5km away from historic Hahoe Village. Our room overlooked what will soon be another major development, but is currently just an empty section (I would recommend requesting a room at the back overlooking the lake). Everything in the room was wonderful - morning sun; double glazing (so absolutely no road noise); great shower; wonderful toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body wash); a mini fridge; daily cleaning; comfie bed; lots of charging points and plugs. The breakfast buffet is the best we have had yet on our trip, and definitely recommended, with both western food (hash browns, bacon, pastries, coffee), along with multiple Korean dishes. We used the gym for a back/biceps weight session, and while the equipment is a little limited, there is still enough for a good workout (a full dumbell set up to 20kg, abductor/adductor machine, hyper-extension machine, Smith rack, and two incline benches). This is the second Stanford hotel we have stayed at on our tour of the country, and they are all obviously top notch!!!

The experience to stay in a Hanok house where the owner lives was incredible, the house has around 400 years old and yet they managed to build a nice bathroom. All the areas are great conservated and the ambience of the house brings you peace. The breakfast and the welcome tea were incredible, everything homemade and amazing. There are no better hosts. I really thank you the owners for giving us this opportunity.
