I’ve been traveling in Sri Lanka for three weeks, and Crown Regency is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. It’s not far from the bus station, with a market and supermarket nearby. The best part is you don’t need to worry about finding a restaurant—the rooftop restaurant’s food is incredibly delicious, and the breakfast is hearty. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is great, and locals often dine there too. I even met some friendly locals at the restaurant who took me around Badulla. The hotel is in a quiet alley with stunning mountain views, beautiful in both rain and shine. The price is very affordable, yet the service feels like a five-star hotel. Vinishya, in particular, went out of her way to show me a wedding venue hosted at the hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable—I’d say cleaner than many four-star hotels. The air conditioning and fans work perfectly, and the hot water in the bathroom is reliable. The Wi-Fi is a bit unstable, but I managed fine with my phone’s network. I originally planned to stay one night but ended up staying three. Thank you, Crown Regency, for providing such high-quality accommodation for travelers. This is my honest review.

The host and the keeper were very professional and friendly. Kevin was really helpful for us and I think he is a great asset to this business. It would have been better if the bathroom was renovated and upgraded a litte bit more.

This has been my favourite place to stay so far. Great location, less than 5 mins from the busy centre. The accommodation was spotless, spaceous and modern. The host was amazing, I currently have the cold and she offered me hot menthol water and herbal tea twice daily to help relieve congestion. I also stupidly booked dates for the wrong month and she happily adjusted the booking to accommodate me when I turned up unexpectedly. They also have the cutest little pup!
