Hemantha, the owner and manager of hotel and his son Dulana have built a truly beautiful pearl in the middle of the rainforest. With excellent English, they took care of us and fulfilled all our wishes. This is our fifth time in Sri Lanka, but we visited Kitulgala for the first time during our travels and I can recommend this area to everyone to visit. Waterfalls in the middle of the forest and rafting on the river are among the great experiences that this hotel offers you at a very fair price. And then you can let yourself be pampered in the comfort of the hotel with great food and enjoy a bath in the beautiful natural pool or right in the small clean river that flows around the hotel. Leon Hilltop is a new venture (hence few reviews). It is in a great location (up the hill from team 39 watersports). It sits on the ridge line and has great views. It is well away from the road and was lovely and peaceful. The accommodation was immaculate - clean and comfortable. Sameera and his team were extremely welcoming and attentive from the outset. At the time of writing they didn’t have in house catering, instead using a local hotel to provide food and drinks which were brought up to our dining area. If you’re coming for a bit of rafting I’d highly recommend Leon Hilltop - I’m certain Sameera and his team will look after you just as well as he did us!

Amazing Resort in the middle of the jungle! Perfect to stay if you want to visit Aberdeen and Laxapana Waterfalls. You get exactly what you expect from the photos. Extremely friendly service and the most amazing food. We stayed there for 2 nights and felt so welcome. They helped us with everything! Highly recommended!!!

This hotel is a hidden gem, in colonial style with big rooms and even bigger balconies. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was very clean and well maintained. From the pool there was a spectacular mountain view.
