Everything! The best accommodation we had in 2 weeks in Sri-Lanka. The penthouse had everything we needed and was super comfortable. The beds was huge and comfy, the air conditioning worked well, the TV had netflix, the kitchen was great, the rear balcony nice and we even had our own washing machine. The swimming pool was so nice and the free coconut was perfect to enjoy a hot afternoon. Best breakfast we had in Sri-Lanka. The staff went above and beyond. Perfect communication. We loved everything.

Where do I even begin? This might be a long post 🙂 This was hands down one of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed at—and we’ve traveled quite a lot. I had planned a 5-day trip to Sri Lanka for my wife’s birthday, with the idea of staying here for 2 nights and then moving to Colombo for the rest. But we ended up staying here for 4 nights straight, simply because it was that blissful. I can’t point to just one reason—we loved everything. Here are a few highlights: 1. The Location Perched on the highest point in Mirissa, this place offers the best view in town. You don’t need to go anywhere else for the sunset—just grab a drink, head up to their terrace, and enjoy. Plus, it’s only a 5-minute walk to Mirissa Beach. 2. The Food Unlike other hotels, there are no standard buffets here. Instead, a thoughtfully curated menu of Sri Lankan and European dishes. The food was absolutely outstanding—simple, fresh, and delicious. I’m a vegetarian, while my wife eats chicken, and both of us loved every meal. 3. The Rooms & Facilities We stayed in a double room—spacious, spotless, and perfect. The property has two swimming pools, one at the top with breathtaking views. What stood out was how well-maintained they were, with little to no chlorine, so no itchy eyes—such a thoughtful detail. 4. The Hospitality One word: Finest. From the receptionist to the GM to the owner, every single person radiated warmth and positivity. When I had an issue with my Forex card, they went out of their way to help. They surprised my wife with a birthday cake and even gifted us souvenirs. Honestly, they made us feel like family. “It felt like home away from home.” We’re already planning to return, this time with more family, just to experience it all over again.

The most beautiful accommodation in Sri Lanka. Large, spacious, extremely clean room with comfortable beds and soft pillows, clean cotton linen. Spacious bathroom, hot water, pressure shower. The breakfast was delicious, every morning they prepared a different dish for us. Fresh fruit, fruit drinks and bottled water at your discretion. Close to the beach and outstanding and the staff was very very kind. And the yard is nicely landscaped, with very well-kept exotic plants. we had a spacious terrace. Bonus, there were the monkeys that every morning came on the fence of the yard or on the roof. They were adorable and not aggressive at all. We were also able to use the washing machine and the property has a large space for drying clothes. This was very important for us. The internet works very very well. I highly recommend this property and would come back anytime.

Bakery family is super nice and helpful. We loved the hospitality with heart. We felt like a family member. When we came we got good homemade snack and tea. We rented a scooter at their place for a really good price. For breakfast we got their fresh baked bread every day and fresh fruit salad and other things. The location was calm, little out of loud and touristic road, which we liked, so we could get a good night sleep. It is a really good place for this price. We recommend highly.

Beautiful Villa, it’s not a luxury villa, but a good villa for a family getaway, it’s well maintained to the naked eye. Great views as you can see from the pics but mind you there is no beach or access to the water. Tharanga the house manager was excellent and attentive. The land block houses 6 villas, we had friends in another villa for a bucks night and we used this villa to keep our baby, nanny, maid (safely) and us parents to sleep at night.

Location is great. Clean beach and area in front of restaurant is well managed and attractive which is not my experience in other places. View from room direct onto beach and ocean. Comfortable clean room. Relaxed atmosphere conducive for families with little kids. Good service. I extended a night as I was very happy here. Recommended!

We stayed at Wine Tree House as a family with 2 small kids. The stay was very pleasant and Mahesh was the best host who really took care of us, he was very helpful and made the best breakfast in whole Sri Lanka. This place was definitely a great choice and the best value for money. Thank you

This was my favourite homestay in Sri Lanka - the family is very welcoming and really go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The room is very clean and just as described - the breakfast is great, make sure to be hungry or save same for later :) I had a late flight and was able to leave my bags and shower much later than checkout. I really appreciated the kind gesture !

Amal and his family was amazing host. They helped with anything needed during our stay. The location is great near mainroad and the beach and the bed was spacious enough for us to sleep 2 adults and 2 small children. Thanks for a great stay Amal, I would 100% recommend!

Beautiful clean pool and a very spacious room with a large balcony! Both room and balcony are very Baby-friendly. Hot water in the shower and great water pressure. 2 min away from the beach! They provided a comfy cot for our baby and enough clean towels including beach/pool towels. all in all a family friendly stay.
