This hotel is an absolute gem in Sri Lanka. We've visited several places, and this is our favorite. It's beautifully located, allowing you to walk for miles along the beach without encountering anyone. The beach is pristine, free of litter, unlike some other places in Sri Lanka. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The service is excellent, and the restaurant offers a delicious and diverse menu. There are plenty of excursion options nearby, with stunning wetlands and lagoons perfect for bird watching. This wonderful place has been crafted with great care. Interestingly, it is also very affordable compared to other hotels. It's definitely worth traveling a bit further to enjoy this exceptional and beautiful spot. An absolute must-visit. I highly recommend it to everyone.

After 10 days backpacking around Sri Lanka, Maritime Nest was the perfect place to relax for a few quiet days. The cabanas are newly built, well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The gardens and pool are delightful and the food at Panchi restaurant is excellent. The breakfasts, in particular, are delicious and plentiful. Most importantly we were made to feel very welcome and were looked after extremely well. Madura, his family and great team of staff were fabulous hosts. Madura made helpful suggestions for local sights and activities and was always responsive to our queries. We particularly enjoyed visiting the local Turtle Sanctuary, a mindful and ethical way to experience these amazing creatures. The beautiful almost deserted beach can be reached via a short track and, whilst the sea is too rough for swimming, there is a delightful rock pool nearby. Very highly recommended.​ Thank you to Madura and his team of staff - we wish you every success with your new business.

If we had known the place was this good, we would have stayed longer. Sandhu is a very kind and polite boy. From the beginning he was very attentive to us, giving us all kinds of explanations about how our room worked. It was super nice! The room is very big, well equipped with a large bathroom. Everything was super clean and the bed was super comforable. The room is so peaceful, so quiet and calm you will sleep like a baby. The property is such a beauty! Plants, trees and flowers everywhere. Black faced monkeys dancing in the garden by the sound of birds. Just amazing! The beach is super close, just 10 minutes walking. We went for a night's walk trying to find turtles. We didn't see any but we enjoyed our walk. The beach is stunning! The neighborhood is very safe. We ordered dinner though the tablet, which is a very smart system and the food was suuuuuuper tasty!! The vegetable soup was just delicious!! The fresh juices, the curd and honey, the boiled vegetables and the fried fish were incredible! The breakfast was also good. But the truth is, we really like this place, not because of the house and the food (these are amazing) but because of Sandhu. He's a hard worker, he is super attentive and he really makes the difference. For us, this was one of the best places to stay in Sri Lanka. 100% recommended

Amazing place with absolutely wonderful staff. We travelled a family with a little 1 year old and got lot's of help and attention. Really tasteful and delicious kitchen - actually the best we got on our 3 weeks tour around the island. Nice and warm pool and the place is next to a fantastic and secluded beach.

The privacy of having the entire 3rd floor for ourselves with kitchen, living room and balcony. Was such a great experience! Location was good for us! It is a 5 minutes walk from a beautiful beach and a few minutes away from other beaches and attractions by scooter or tuk tuk. On top of it, the owner and his family are beautiful people. We loved it.

One of the best experiences in Sri lanka trip within 3 weeks. Amazing place, not only appartment but all Rekava. Definately one of the most underrated places in Sri lanka. If you are in doubts - you definately should go there. Peace, silence, nature, ocean, turtles, amazing people - this is Rekava. Lookout lodge is excelent accomodation - new house, all clean and comfy, perfect location near the beach and turtle watch center. Good restaurant nearby (reccomended by Chami). Excelent breakfast and peacefull conversations with owner. We felt like home there and all our wishes were fulfilled with smile. And - there is a pool now - we where the first users and it is great. Appriciated by our boys. Sorry that we booked just 2 nights there, would have liked to stay at least a couple more days. The Sri Lankan breakfast was plentiful and with a lot of variety. Our room was spacious, comfortable and looked great. It had a fridge, kettle, place for hanging clothes and a rack for our baggage. We could adjust the air-conditioning and the ceiling fan together for a comfortable temperature.
