Our experience at Tarentaal Guest Farm was absolutely magical, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our time in Namibia. From the moment we arrived, Piet and Mariana Gouws made us feel like part of their family, offering a warm welcome that set the tone for our entire stay. Their genuine hospitality and passion for their beautiful farm truly made the difference. The guesthouse itself is a peaceful oasis, with beautifully decorated rooms that were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The garden and surroundings are simply stunning, offering a perfect blend of tranquillity and nature. We enjoyed many relaxing moments here, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of the farm. What really made our stay special, though, were the hosts. Piet’s knowledge of the local area was invaluable, and he was always eager to share interesting stories and tips to make our trip even better. Mariana’s cooking was a highlight of each day – delicious, hearty meals that were always prepared with love. Dining with the other guests around a communal table felt like sharing a meal with old friends. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat away from the typical tourist spots, with incredible hosts who treat you like family, we can’t recommend Tarentaal Guest Farm highly enough. Very friendly staff and excellent food (dinner and breakfast). This is a perfect place to stop after or before Etosha park. The small pool was refreshing and the property and rooms were clean and comfortable.

We felt we were part of the family. Very friendly and lovely host, nothing is hassle, brilliant help and guide for Etosha. The dinners were the best, homemade food and the guest lodges had beautiful views. Really enjoyed our stay there

Piet is a real great guy. The amount of thought and attention to detail he has put into the compound is incredible with beautifully landscaped surrounds offering so much peace and tranquility (and a swimming pool to cool off in!) From the moment I arrived Piet went out of his way to make sure I not only had a comfortable stay but was clued up on how to have a great time in Etosha National Park too (just over 50min drive away). His staff are just as friendly and helpful. It was a truly memorable stay and fantastic value for money. I look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

The atmosphere was accommodating, being in the center of town was a plus as everything I required retail wise was close by. The food was great, the staff and owner always went the extra mile which I always appreciate.
