Family hotels and homes in Akaroa

Stunning location on the waterfront - could hear the water lapping overnight. We sat on the balcony in the morning and fed the birds! Spacious apartment for the family and comfortable beds. The lady in reception was super helpful and brought an extra heater and recommended places to eat. The Madeira Hotel pretty much opposite did great great food and we liked the local pub feel. My kids loved the outdoor pool table and chess set. Lovely little town and a shame we were only there one night.

The motel was easy to find as we arrived in Akaroa. Great location; just a short walk into town and there was a fun little pub and restaurant across the road. Free parking. The check-in staff were a highlight, super kind and gave us some tips on what to see and do while we were in town. They even had DVDs you could borrow to play in your room which I thought was cute. The room was as described and had everything we need. Clean, spacious, warm, and had a little balcony overlooking a stream. I'd definitely stay here again.

Nothing we were forced to pay for tow rooms, as couldn’t accomodate two adults and one child in one room, yet one of the 2 rooms we booked had a king and a single in it , and you wouldn’t refund the extra room that we didn’t use, very very poor

Lovely location close to village. Great apartment for 2 couples & our grandchild. Everything we needed was supplied…& wonderful box of duplo for our grandson to play with was a bonus! Plunger coffee, some condiments & bbq were great extras! Also to have a washing machine supplied for our family was helpful. Would recommend this property.

Good sea view from the cabin. Spotlessly clean everywhere and well equipped. Well laid out. We were only two friends so bags of room for us but it would be very good for a family too, especially as there was a separate second bedroom for children. Nice to have a pool there too.

Very comfortable with all that was required for a family holiday. Tidy and clean with many activities available to access for kids and adults to access for lazy days when not out and about exploring!

Love this place, suits our family of 3 couples, 1 baby, with its layout and facilities. Comfy beds, lovely views. Had everything we needed. Thank you for sharing this lovely home.

We had the family suite. I liked the location with a beautiful view from the balcony it was bliss to wake up to. Lovely, friendly staff. Great playground, games room & even a cute little toddler room. Super comfortable bed and different pillows supplied to suit your comfortability. Great shower & great BBQ area. Loved my stay here

super cute and cozy cottage. the view was amazing, kids loved the cottage, great facilities to cook a dinner and watch a family movie together by the fire. wish we could have stayed longer.
