Helen is a wonderful, welcoming host. The house is in a good location near Arthur's Pass and makes a great stop if you're driving cross country. We opted to include the dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. The common area and bathroom is shared with another room/visitors and we were lucky to have very enjoyable company so it felt like reliving the old hostel days as an adult 😀

The room was warm upon arrival, and the heating was very good. The bedding was very comfortable. A baby cot was provided on request. The basic kitchen facilities were adequate. The host provided a good spiel prior to arrival in the inbox.

The location is very quiet and outskirt of town area. Lovely place to stay with mountain view. The room is clean and big for family of 4pax. Recommended to cook since the restaurant is not many and quite a distance. Provided a good cooking facility. There are many hiking trail closure to this location.

Spacious well equipped, warm and clean and very welcoming. We were sceptical about motels as characterless and purely functional, but this motel has changed our minds. Will return to enjoy the area more and won’t look further than this motel for accommodation.

Staff were accommodating when we turned up to change rooms. As we a re family of 5 with 3 young children they had us divided into 2 rooms so we would have been separated.

This is a great motel for families. Good kitchen facilities, good bathroom, water pressure good. Owners were really good and understood needs of families. Very good at recommending appropriate nearby walks for kids. They also provide games (board games etc) in the office, to be borrowed for the times spent indoors. Would stay again.

Such a lovely cosy cabin for family of four. Teenagers enjoyed it too. Beautiful view and lovely walks. Wish we could have stayed for a week to unwind. Nice to be 10 minute easy stroll from the bustle of Arthur’s Pass townsite.
