We stayed in the cabin and it was wonderful. Super private, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is supplied in the fridge, so no need to go anywhere. The view over the valley is great and the location is so quiet... and dark at night! The Milky Way was visible right out the front door, which we enjoyed looking at on the patio chairs provided. Our host Jamie was great, even allowing us to do a load of laundry using the machine in her house.

Loved that it was a self check in at any hours of the day and night. It was pet friendly and it has an amazing dog park walking space at the back of it.

The Motel room was both exceptionally well-appointed and the owner/manager made a point of calling on us an hour after occupation to check we were satisfied.

Waitomo Farmstay - Cabin 3 and 4 is situated in Waitomo Caves and offers a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge.

I loved my stay at this gorgeous, well maintained farm. As you drive in you can feel the love for detail that went into every corner. The older gentlemen gave me a hearty welcome. The room and the bed was comfy. (in particular the super cozy woolen blankets made we wanna stay in bed the morning). Communal shower&toilet was in camping style but clean. Wifi worked like a charme. The cabins don't have electricity, so lighting ain't the greatest, and the one charging point in the communal area is switched off after 10 pm. So I struggled a bit with working on my laptop and keeping my phone charged. But that's a minor thing. Here you really just want to sit on the little porches and sip a cold beer to wind down while watching sheep, ducks and stunning sunsets. ♥️
