The location is superb. We stayed in one of 6 units so it’s small but feels just right. The hosts Shelley and Ross are very welcoming and helpful. Its position right by the beach of this quiet safe sandy bay was perfect. Understandable that kiwis book here. Lovely to walk the length of the bay at dawn or dusk. Outside grassy area and tables overlooking the bay with shade when it’s very hot. There are no bars, shops or restaurants in this area which makes it really peaceful. There’s a communal gas barbecue to use. Laundry room and drying facilities and you can borrow beach towels. Small onsite shop for essentials if needed but other shops are a short drive away.

A 20-minute walk from Pacific Bay, Pacific Rendezvous Resort features private beach access. The property offers an outdoor pool, barbecue facilities and rooms with ocean or harbour views.

Tutukaka Sunrise is private, spacious and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linen lovely. The bathroom facilities were great. Beautiful views from the bedroom- the accommodation had everything we needed. Petra was a warm and friendly host, she made us feel very welcome and cooked us a beautiful breakfast - the coffee was so good! We would definitely recommend a stay here. Thank you Petra

I have stayed at 100s of places all over the world but this was by far the best of the them, I cannot say enough good things about Grant's accommodation. First of all when we arrived we were very quickly greeted by Grant the owner, he was warm and welcoming and was quick to show us the phenomenal view he had across the ocean. Then he showed us our room, which had everything we needed, a kitchenette, a bathroom, very comfy, big bed and a lovely table and chairs looking out towards the bay. At sunset Grant then took us out on the roof to see the 360 views, we were blown away by not only the beautiful scenery but by the impressive story Grant told us of how he built the place himself. I will definitely be back and if you are thinking of staying here DO NOT hesitate I promise you will not regret it, it a heaven in Tutakaka. See you next time Grant and thank you again you legend :)

Was like being in a small piece of paradise. Nature all around, was lovely waking to the birds and the gorgeous fury host the chocolate lab :)

Lovely helpful homestay host, great location across from the beach. The local Salt Air Cafe is perfect for breakfast and lunch. The surrounding area and little bays are stunning. Clean, stylish comfy rooms with own kitchen and bathroom. We managed to have a swim and a kayak just across the road. Wished we had the time to have stayed longer.
