Perfect place to sleep comfortably with no noise from the street. 10-15 mins walk to the center. It's ideal if you work online as there is an upper floor with a cafe setup, good tables/chairs, good WiFi and views. Also, you won't find this level of comfort within the same budget range. Very clean. And the beds are reaaaaally good and comfy! And Beto, the owner, will make your life easier. It's a no-brainer!

I had a fantastic time here. From early checking to hot breakfast to an amazing hot shower. Plus good laundry service. It was quiet, only a short walk from the plaza, restaurants, and shops. Highly recommend you stay here. It's located across the street from where it shows on the map.

Mario was great! He cooked a great pizza, burgers and also prepared an amazing breakfast! The lodge rooms were very clean, spacious and each had amazing views of Gocta waterfall. The trailhead to Gocta waterfall was located immediately outside the Casa de Mario door. Mario was instrumental in locating excellent drivers and an English speaking guide! La Casa de Mario enhanced our Chachapoyas experience!

Idyllic. This place is paradisiac. No word to describe the feeling to wake up with this wonderful view, and sound of the colibris. The room is super clean, water is hot, bed is really confortable, private terrasse is amazing. I loved the decoration, natural pure atmosphere. The staff is super kind, they offered me to shower and rest after a big hike when i came back in late afternoon while i had check out in the morning. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, fresh home made food. I really wish i could have stayed longer and did not to leave un Thank you again!

Great room with balcony, really confortable beds, nice view from rooftop. Good wifi connection and staff is friendly and very helpful if you need anything. Recommended :)

I was working remotely from a bedroom with a balcony giving onto the main square which provided a nice view and light. I did not use the WIFI during the evenings but during the day it was strong enough for me to have three-person video calls. The receptionists took their time in answering my hundreds of questions: they gave me great advice on how to get to some points of interests independently rather than trying to sell me tour packages with their affiliated agency. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the breakfast as I was always leaving before it was served, however they were nice enough to remove it from my total price for the night.
