Location is great for relaxing. The hotel is right in front of the sea and it is natural to be beaten by the humidity and to look dated. Staying in a hotel that is 75% empty maybe scare some people, but to me it is a bonus, less people in the swimming pool, less people in breakfast etc

We stayed at the Khao Lak Marriot on an opening deal and were incredible impressed to say the hotel hadn't even been open for a month. The staff were all superb and each restaurant offers something different. We loved the vast beach at the property and the adult only pool was a very welcomed amenity.

It is a great place for those who are seeking a calm and peaceful stay. The territory is pretty big, with comfortable Thai style villas around the lake. There is a pool, a private beach (about 400 m from the property), and a beach bar. While traveling during the rainy season, be ready that the main restaurant will be closed and only beach bar and restaurant will be available. The staff is super welcoming, kind, and helpful.

I stayed on May 10, 2025, at a resort with a stunning view by the sea, which also offered STARBOARD activities. The food was fresh, delicious, and truly worth it. The service was warm and attentive — the staff were very friendly. One staff member in particular, Khun Boy, guided me around the property, recommended dishes, and took care of me throughout my stay. I didn’t expect a resort located far from the city to offer service comparable to a 5-star hotel. Their attention to guests was exceptional, far exceeding expectations — especially considering the room rates, which were very reasonable.

Really everything. From the warm kind staff to the facilities (gym was very good too.) the first room they offered (although the room itself was fine) was close to foundation construction work on one side of the hotel. We politely explained that peace and quiet was very important to us and they immediately changed us to the other side of the complex. Very quiet. Thank you manager that made that happen!
