One of the Best Hotels in Zanzibar! We had an amazing stay at this hotel for over a month, and it was truly one of the best in terms of quality service. The staff was incredibly attentive and always ready to help, making our experience even more enjoyable. The surroundings were breathtaking, and the room facilities, along with the cleanliness, exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar and wish them continued success!

This hotel is a paradise on earth - both hotel and sea are beautiful. The pool is deep and refreshing, the food is amazing in the restaurant - I would recommend Prawn Curry. :) Hotel management is very helpful and helped us with transfers and other questions. Kudos to Anna - she made us feel welcome and pampered. Pingwe beach is gem - it is beautiful both high and low tide - and you can swim here also in low tide - just walk to white sand lagoons and enjoy crystal clear sand. When I would return to Zanzibar - this hotel would be the place to return.

Lovely place, cute little bungalow to ourselves, lovely staff, food, ambiance and having a pool right outside was fantastic, and it was less then a minute walk to the beach, I loved all the hammocks and swinging beds through the Luscious green jungle like grounds! So peaceful, the staff even sourced us a boat to take us across the water to our next hotel so we didn’t have to get a taxi to drive all the way round! Which would have taken over an hour and cost double!

The hotel is nice, the food was delicious (there was a grill night I really loved that) the staff was friendly and they always payed attention to us to enjoy our stay. However I dont like the beach, there was a lot of algae and there is nothing you can do, no shops, only 1-2 hotels in the beach but they are building lot of hotels right now along the beach. But this is not depends on the hotel! Last day we found a sandbank near the mangroves walking south. do not miss that!

The meals were delicious although we felt Breakfast items were not diverse enough and tended towards vegetarian. The General Manager was so friendly and welcoming. The other staff were friendly too.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The hotel is very clean, the food in the restaurant is delicious, and the cocktails are very good. This hotel has incredibly clean water; swimming feels like being in seawater, with no chemical smell at all. I have never encountered pool water as clean as this in any other hotel. Internet speed is very good! Special thanks to Michael, who was an excellent host and resolved any issues efficiently. Many thanks to Innocent, who was our bartender and made us fantastic cocktails. Huge thanks and compliments to Feidha, who was always smiling and cheerful.

Gorgeous location, fantastic staff, exceptional food, and my goodness what a view! First of all, nothing beats being right on the beach and waking up to spectacular sunrise with the iconic Rock restaurant as the backdrop. The View of Zanzibar is the perfect location for that. But the absolute cherry on the cake is sitting down in the evenings with great food, some really nice tunes (thanks Joop!) and watching the moonrise from The View. What a magical experience. When the tide is high and the wind is just right, this beach is a really good spot for body surfing. The View also has the advantage of being adjacent to the village so while you get a 'beach resort' feel and quality with the service, it's also nice to watch and engage with people in the community as they come out to relax and go about their lives. Aside from the fantastic location, the staff at The View are wonderful - very keen to help and always up for a good laugh. The owners Yudee and Joop are the nicest people, and we couldn't say enough about the hospitality and warmth they showed us. Joop organised some pretty exciting adventures for us including snorkeling, an fun sail on a traditional dow, and an excursion to the mangroves. An additional bonus was hanging out with Rocky, the resident beach dog who has adopted The View as his family. By the time our stay came to an end, we were sad to leave and felt like part of The View family. Do yourself a favour and just stay here. It'll certainly be memorable.

Exceptional place to stay. The facilities - swimming pool, bar and restaurant were all first class. Food was delicious. Best of all was the wonderful welcome and hospitality shown by the fantastic owners Petra and Thomas. They went way beyond what one could expect to make sure my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended
