The property is situated on the river side with beautiful views! Location is extremely close to Phang Nha caves with a walking distance to good restaurants and amenities. The staff was very helpful and cooked a splendid bbq for us in the evening.

I had a beautiful time staying at Nguyen Shack Retreat! Place to relax after tour day. The host was incredibly accommodating, helping me transport my bike and making sure I had a taxi reserved for my trip to the airport. The room was very comfortable, and the view was simply breathtaking – easily a 10/10. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

I loved everything about the accommodation. This was the best accommodation I had in Vietnam. The location is close enough to the main road, but still far away to enjoy the silence. Everything was really, really clean. They have a no shoes policy which I find it very helpful to maintain everything clean. I've also enjoyed the breakfast, the hosts, the facilities, everything. But what I like the most was actually our host, Tutu. Tutu is amazing. She will go above and beyond to make sure that you really enjoy your trip in Phong Nha. She is so friendly and welcome and kind. From the bottom of my heart I recommend this accommodation ❤️.

I don't know where to begin. We had such a rough start to our trip to Phong Nha, when the bus we had originally booked on 12go scammed us and we were stranded in a bus station in Hanoi. To our luck, Gem the homestay host messaged me ahead of time earlier that day asking to message if I needed any help, and I definitely needed her help. She was amazing, she got us bus tickets to Phong nha within 10 mins of messaging and this bus dropped us off right at her doorstep. She didn't even take payment from us until we arrived at her homestay. In the morning, we woke up to a beautiful homestay location, her beautiful family and all the puppies! Gem and Tuan took care of us, taking us to Paradise Cave and even the Duck Stop with their own vehicle, and we had the most delicious food in all of Vietnam at their restaurant during lunch and dinner. When we told them our entire bus experience, they offered us a private car to Hoi An as that was our next destination and Tuan drove us himself the whole 8 hours. To say we are thankful is an understatement. We've met a lot of people during our many adventures, but they are the kind of people that stay close to heart even when the adventure is over. We still think about Gem and Tuan's kindness and hospitality towards us and we hope our paths cross once again some day. It was the shortest leg of our trip in Vietnam but by far the most amazing day we've had. Message to the hosts: thank you for everything. We hope we'll see you and your wonderful family again someday. We are telling stories of you to all of our friends and family and we cherish everything you've done for us. Everything was pefect. Rooms were clean and the food is great. Tutu and ger husband arranged everything regarding pickup, tours and transportation. It more felt like being part of a family than in an accommodation. Very very helpful.

Had such a good experience with this homestay. Booked for two nights, and got picked up from the bus in the evening. Super clean, nice personell and so helpful with booking tours and transport. Definetly recommend!

Hung took super good care of us, picking us up and dropping us off at the bus station, giving us recommendations, helping us plan whatever we needed. family dinner was fun, the homestay was a good place to lounge and relax, but also well-located. i can imagine its a good place to get some work done as well. they also have scooters and bicycles for rent that you cannuse to go to caves / the duck stop (also highly recommend)

Very nice play to stay. The hosts were so kind that they picked us up at the bus station at 3:00 am and dropped us off again when we left. Scooters are available and very good food (incl. diner).

I arrived at 2am, three hours earlier than expected…they gave me my room and let me sleep there for free! you would never find that anywhere else!
