We liked everything, since the first contact with Karla, the Pousada Manager that help us a lot, to choose the best accommodation, her kindness during our stay, and the pousada facilities very confortable and clean. Located in Atins, 500 metres from Atins Beach, Pousada Lanea Experience features a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. With a garden, the 5-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Staff on site can arrange a shuttle service. The room was immaculate, air conditioned, and very clean and beautiful to stay in. The bathroom with plants and a big shower head was amazing and all aspects of the pousada were thought out with true care in their design. The bed was very comfortable and the spa was a perfect place to sit and enjoy a beer on a hot day. Breakfast needs to be talked about: the pão de queijo was unbelievable and the omelette might be one of the best I’ve had. The offer alternative milk options, and snacks you can take with you when touring the dunes, which we thought was a nice touch. Friends who stayed nearby came over to drink with us at the bar on several afternoons, and we couldn’t get enough of Franz and Katarina’s caipirinhas and company. Truly one of the highlights of our trip was meeting Franz and Katarina, they are amazing hosts and we loved that they sat and drank with us and talked to us about the local history of Maranhão. They were more than helpful, taking us where ever we needed to go on quad bikes (the importance of this in Atins needs to be said) and recommended us fantastic options for food and activities. The pousada amenities are fantastic, with even a basic gym, this place has everything you need to enjoy a stay. We would stay here again, and will recommend this place to everyone who is looking to head to Atins. Thanks Franz and Katarina!

Featuring pool views, Sky Atins Rooftop offers accommodation with balcony, around 400 metres from Atins Beach. This guest house features a rooftop pool, a garden and free private parking. The guest house provides sea views, a sun terrace, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Amazing and beautiful decor. Staff were lovely and so helpful. We had the most magical days. 100% recommend. Its good value for money as it feels very exclusive.

Situated in Barreirinhas, 3.3 km from Wharf, Gran Lençóis Flat Residence Mandacaru 311 - 611 features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 3.4 km of City Hall. The resort has a sauna and room service. The rooms are very noisy, you can hear the person next door plug in their phone charger in the power outlet. The sink was clogged. The bedspread had a stain on it. There was mold in the bathroom. Some elderly people were there every day screaming in the lobby. Just awful.

Spectacular swimming pool (huge, ideal for swimming lengths but also great for kids playing). Wonderful location on the river but also accessible by road. Brilliant breakfast with a huge selection of food available. The reception staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The property is like a big hotel with a mix of flats and hotel rooms. Ours was a flat but the facilities are the same, so you can stay in either. Our flat was nice and compact with all the facilities we needed. It's quite a quirky and old-fashioned place but we loved it!

The building is really nice made of concrete and exotic wood with open shared spaces at every floor. We had the large room for the 4 of us. Beds were super confortable, large connected tv, efficient AC. Location is very close to the beach and a couple of good restaurants which is nice as it’s hard to walk in the very soft sand of Atins streets and people mostly move around in 4x4 or ATV. We loved the simple food provided by the property. Employees were super nice and helpful with one of them speaking excellent English. They’ll answer all your questions.
