Overlooking Oxtongue Lake, this cottage resort is 10 km from Algonquin Park. It offers on-site access to a sandy beach and a fully equipped kitchen in each cosy cottage. The cottages are adorable. I was in a one bedroom. It has a fully functioning kitchen (bring all your groceries including butter, oil. And coffee grounds/pods. And a flat pan. Surprisingly no pan in the kitchen). It had really good heating. No AC but we didn't need it. No bugs inside. The veiw from the windows was a slice of heaven. BRILLIANT for kids. Two playgrounds, a library with toys, a lake opposite. Next to Algonquin so loads of fun trekking. We went when it was cold but they have paddle boats, and canoes and life vests. Honestly I am blown away by how entertained my 2 year old was in this resort.

The house was beautifully setup with all the necessities you could need. The kitchen is large, having all the amenities you might need for a stay. The Livingroom was also large and setup with very comfortable furniture. This location in Bancroft made for easy access to Algonquin Park where we were able to enjoy some magnificent vistas.

Everything was perfect! Charming lodge, bigger than expected & having the whole place for ourselves. Very clean, with fully equipped kitchen + spices, coffee, tea, sugar, milk, oatmeal, oil, etc. Very nicely decorated house with cozy fireplace. Quiet environment. The host Maria who lives in the main house next door, was very friendly and made us feel at home and gave us a great tip for magnificent canoeing in the nearby Bonneschere park.

The cottage was perfectly located with lake view and access to lake for kayaking ans other activities. Beautiful deck to enjoy the lake view and share a cup of coffee with friends. Very close to all the city amenities grocery, , health supplies, restaurants, pubs and bars etc. Good neighbours with lots of privacy.

Peaceful lakeside cottage great for a staycation. Nice, friendly hosts. Beautiful village. We want to come back in the summer.
