The B&B is in a very quiet area, you need a car to get there and it is super-local and “Bernese-countryside”. This was the first time I left the motorway driving through Switzerland. I was impressed with how green and beautiful the Bernese countryside is. The studio where I was staying was very spacious and clean. I slept really well with the windows open, The breakfast was served in the owner’s kitchen and was made with love. There were local ingredients and the super fresh bread was home-baked. I had a really nice local experience and the owner is clearly passionate about creating a good guest experience,

I was looking for a some accommodation with affordable price, rather difficult task for Switzerland. So the price was the main search criterion, so I booked this place. But apart from more than affordable price, this farm stay is really cool! Beautiful location on the hill in the Emmental, owners are friendly, free parking. You can see some pigs, cows, so you are close to the nature. The room and bathroom were very clean, wifi fast. I find such cool place even better than hotels in the city! Would definitely stay again there!

In the historic old town of Burgdorf, the elegant Hotel Orchidee features a rooftop terrace with panoramic views, as well as an à la carte restaurant and stylish rooms. Super friendly staff with a lot of passion. They made vegan breakfast for us (order in advance!) Cool rooftop terrace. We were on a cycling trip and could lock our bikes indoor. No problem.

The town itself is charming and full of history. And you’ll be staying just 300 meters from the inner courtyard of Burgdorf Castle, where you can watch the sunset. Highly recommended!

What a lovely, lovely environment and sleeping quarters. The host was so helpful and so warm and gracious during our stay. And the homemade breakfast was so delicious. The backyard was so relaxing as well. I didn’t want to leave! :)
