The only "noice" comes from the train passing close by, but that didn't bother us at all. Other than that it's really peacefull and beautiful area. You feel safe and calm. Stores and restaurants are close by and you get around by train pretty easily. Esther is a wonderful and kind hostess and we felt very welcome to her home. Everything was nice and clean and the place had everything we needed: a huge bedroom, kitchen, toilet&shower and a balcony with a stunning view to the lake Zürich. We would definitely recommend if you appreciate a peaceful stay.

I can't recommend it enough for anyone who appreciates charm, character, and outstanding hospitality!

The Strand hotel in Schmerikon is situated in a fantastic location directly on Lake Zurich.

The accommodation has its own small beach, which is reserved for hotel guests only. All rooms have a view of the lake. Had a very good experience at the property. More of home stay vibe than a hotel. Everybody connected to the hotel was very courteous and joyful. Well definitely come back again.
