The hostess is wonderfully communicative, friendly and helpful, available at any point to help. She arranged a packed breakfast for one morning, as we were going early to the geysers, and it was much appreciated. The lodge is not walkable from the centre of San Pedro, but that's the beauty - it's silent, in nature, with perfect views of the stars. We wish we could have stayed longer!

I can only recommend Hostal Illari! Very clean rooms and it is quiet. The staff is amazing, sooo friendly and helpful. The hostal is not in the center but it's very easy to reach, 10 minutes walk. The breakfast is basic but good, we even got snacks to go everytime we left early for tours. The price-performance ratio is really great!

Just a 20 minute walk from the town centre, Planeta Atacama Lodge offers accommodation in the desert of San Pedro de Atacama. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property. We loved everything about this place. A little bit outside of the tourist center, but that comes with a benefit of peace and a view to kill for. The rooms and facilities (like the shared breakfast room/ kitchen) are great. But it's all about the hosts : Franklin and Clara make you feel like home instantly. Always ready for good advice, helping buy tickets, and a nice chat while finishing breakfast. The coffee and fresh made juice were enough reason to get out of bed for.
