After a long tour of Cabo Verde, it good to relax in the high of Fogo. Swimming pool, nice campaign around. Very peace full. Very comfortable bed. Nice and cool place. Efficient team. The place is very well set up and the owners are kind and helpful people. It's a family operation with lots of experience in hospitality. The rooms are clean and functional. The meals were nice too. We would definitely stay here again.

Of course, the Guesthouse is not comparable to a 3Stars hotel but when you come to this kind of place, Ciza e Rose is exactly the kind of Guesthouse you expect! Rose was born here, he is the right man at the right place and his family is very nice. Rose can speak many languages, including french. The rooms are simple but have all you need. They are big, quiet and all around a patio. Board games are available and we could play Awale and learn a new way to play with Michael, the son. The breakfast was really good and a bit different each day, with cakes... We got a lot of explanations from Rose, who is also a guide if you need. Communication was really easy with them, even before arriving. A "collectivos" picked us up at the airport and Rose organized another one to drop us to Sao Filipe. We eat at the Guesthouse in the evenings. At midday, we went several times to Isabel Restaurant ( actually Isabel is Rose's sister but we didn't know it the first time!). By the way, Rose has 6 brothers/sisters at Portela.

Beautiful old villa in the best location in Sao Filipe. I was upgraded to the nicest room they have - it was very spacious and with breathtaking view over the sea and Brava island. Very pleasant staff, tasty breakfast and swimming pool. All of it for a decent price. Totally recommended!

The location, the friendly, attentive, multi-lingual staff, the food, the beautiful patio, the piece and quiet, the view ... We LOVED it! Good starting point for various hikes. Highly recommend! Know before you go: water is rationed, but still plenty to clean up properly ;) The accommodation's restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, snacks for take away, dinner and drinks. All at fair pricing considering the location. Credit card payment is possible (foreign cards with a 3% fee). For those sore after hiking, you may even book a massage.

Everything. Katya is very welcoming, cooks very (very very) well and takes care of her client like no one did in Cap Verde. We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

Casa Adriano & Filomena nằm ở Portela, có nhà hàng và quầy bar. Nhà nghỉ B&B cung cấp chỗ đậu xe riêng miễn phí và bếp chung. Adriano and Filomena welcomed our group of 4 people in their house. The place was perfect for us: great location, wonderfull view on the caldeira and on the volcano, quality of the staff, size of the room, good food made by them. They have done everything to feel at home. Take time to discuss with Adriano, he has many stories to tell you about the caldeira and about Fogo. Thanks Adriano and Filomena for these days on another planet !

Villages on the lava field in caldera is incredible. Jose is super host. He organize pick up, cooking, tours around island. They brothers are very good gidės to climb to volcano. My big thanks to Felix. I would reccomend to stay there min. 2 nights.

A wonderful stay at Pipi's. A lovely place with a higher standard than your usual small B&Bs. Sparkling clean, peaceful and green, a great place to relax after long days of sightseeing. Breakfast is fantastic and Pipi can also cook dinner if you ask - I ended up eating there almost every day as the food was excellent and I really enjoyed the little bar under banana trees with an ocean view. Pipi and her husband are very warm and welcoming people and it is a real treat to stay at their beautiful home. It is located about 10min walk from the airport and 20min walk from town and if you don't fancy the walk, a taxi from town is under 2€. I stayed for 4 nights and absolutely loved it there!
