Our stay at Northern Lake Lodge is a highlight of our trip to Egypt. The site is dreamy - there is a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful views and it's in a great location. The stay was wonderful and we particularly enjoyed sipping mint tea by the evening campfire and having a feast for breakfast with the distant view of flamingoes on the lake. Ahmed and the team are super friendly and hospitable, and helped us to arrange several incredible trips. You can't miss the safari tour and visiting the desert on an unforgettable trip with a legendary tour guide! We also recommend the boat trip and taking a tuktuk into Tunis village to explore. The site has a calm, natural, outdoorsy feel whilst offering spacious, clean and cosy accommodation options. It's the perfect relaxed getaway after exploring Egypt's cities and busier tourist sites, and deserves a place on any itinerary in its own right.

Palm shadow resort ligger i Tunis og har grillfaciliteter. Overnatningsstedet har en restaurant, en have og en indendørs pool. This was such a breath of fresh air after a busy few days in Cairo. Total relaxation and peace in a beautiful hotel in a beautiful village. We were welcomed by the lovely staff at reception and ordered a delicious lunch which was the best of locally produced Egyptian authentic food. Delicious duck, beautifully grilled chicken, fabulous salads which were super fresh and home made bread You do wait for your food but this is because it is all made fresh and it is well worth it. The grounds are pretty and the good sized pool tucked away around the corner as the ultimate place to relax and enjoy this oasis. Our room was a whole apartment, we had a kitchen, sitting area with balcony and two bedrooms with a bathroom, all air conditioned and built in a very tasteful and traditional and attractive style. The local village is friendly and we enjoyed a quad bike tour, tilapia fishing in a local fish farm, birdwatching tours with a local expert and pottery lessons just along the street from the hotel. We loved it and each member of our family came away happy with different special memories of our lovely three day stay - initially we booked onw night but ended up staying for three.

Tunis Tone Ecolodge & Campsite ligger i Al Fayyum og har udsigt til søen, restaurant, et fælles køkken, bar, have, udendørs pool (der er åben hele året) og terrasse. We had a wonderful time at Tunis Tone. It’s not a fancy place, but the room was clean and tasteful, the shower had hot water and decent water pressure. But most importantly, the hospitality was top notch. Mohammed cared for our every need. He was thoughtful and attentive. He made us a fire and tea in the evening, and we had a large and tasty typical Egyptian breakfast in the morning. The ecolodge is located in the heart of tunis village in east walking distance to the main areas. We also greatly enjoyed the safari we booked with the hotel. It’s a peaceful place and a good value. Highly recommend.

The place is distant, no noises. You can go for a walk to the desert and mountains straight from the camp. Nicely made camp, friendly nice people and helpful. For the price it's a great place to get away.

The villa was extremely spacious and was able to comfortably accommodate our family of 10 adults and 5 children. Big spacious living spaces as well which allowed us all to enjoy sitting together.
