Biman and Bandita (“BimBan”) are the young progressive married couple who run this property. Not only are they very knowledgeable and help to guide you to make the most of your stay, they are also quite fun and you may just end up out on the town having cocktails with them and their friends if you are so inclined. You can tell they have an artistic spirit by just looking at the photos of the property, where you can see baskets hanging from the ceiling, nice large tables, cozy couches, and little knickknacks, often rock ‘n’ roll and other interesting themes throughout the rooms. The place is clean, the beds are comfortable, you can even ask for your laundry to be done at an additional charge to pay the woman who does it. It’s off of the busy street and so is quiet, but is still walking distance to interesting places and restaurants. They live with their family in one of the other units in the building, so they’re there readily available if the need arises. This is one of those unusual properties that one should feel privileged to stay at anywhere in the world, let alone at the relatively inexpensive rate for what is provided. This was one of the best experiences I had during my entire travels in India, and I like to think that we became friends, over time and cocktails. I have only positive things to say about the property and my interactions with this couple and their family.

The hospitality we received from Mr. Shafi and the owner made our trip even more memorable. Their kindness, warmth, and attention to detail ensured that we felt comfortable and well taken care of. From the cleanliness of the rooms to the little thoughtful touches like tea and biscuits on the balcony, everything exceeded our expectations. The flexibility they provided for our late check-out was truly appreciated, allowing us to freshen up before our long journey home.

The place was very homely and very welcoming. Mr. Narayanji was very kind to help us with all the needs. Although our journey was delayed, he had kept us dinner ready and the rooms very all cleaned and warmed with heaters as we had informed that we had kids travelling along. The food provided there was just so homely and was local delicacy. This is located 500m from the main bus stand where you can get pretty much everything(major market too). He was kind enough to arrange the Safaris and instructed the drivers to take us to the areas where the spotting was prime. The two night stay was very much budget friendly and was surprised as we visited during the season and he did not take us for a ride unlike other places. He genuinely promotes tourism.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room clean and comfortable, and the food fresh and delicious. Great location of your wanting to catch the ferry to Majuli. As a solo traveller I felt safe and comfortable. I'd highly recommended staying here.

Risong family guesthouse is so lovely we had a great time. The host was so kind and helpful. He suggested an amazing bike ride which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would love to come back one day.

Very good hot shower, European style comfortable mattresses. Staff and manager very attentive and friendly making every effort to help. This is a professionally run 'camp', also well aware of non-domestic traveller needs. They use solar power and a very nice touch is the caraffe of filtered water already on the dinner table. Food is amazing and very reasonably priced. We would return any time with pleasure. Immer wieder gerne!

This hotel was in the location where we wanted to stay, we stayed only for one night but the place was quite and peaceful, with no disturbances, the owner and staff were very nice, room and bathroom were very clean. Every thing like AC, fan,geyser and TV works fine. Had a great stay and look forward to stay in future if we have to stay in Guwahati.👍👍👍👍👍
