Really Good food- I had breakfast and dinner. But the best part is the family who runs it and especially Meha, the daughter that was so friendly and helpful with really anything I needed, including recommendations about activities and finding for me the best rate for taxi and even giving me gloves just because I told her I was planning to buy ones for the cold. I highly recommend this place, a real home away from home.

The setting is idyllic, the accomodation completely in keeping with the environment yet all comforts are considered and the room and bathroom spotlessly clean.... and a wonderfully comfortable bed in which to fall asleep in listening to the gurgling river. They booked a safari for me and took care of all the arrangements. The food was delicious and the people could not have been more welcoming, kind and considerate. I travel a lot and this place is one of my best 'finds'.

I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with top-notch amenities and service.

This is not only one of the best hotels we've stayed in in India but also one of the best hotels we've been to in the world. It's exquisitely done - stylishly understated and elegant woth gorgeous interior design. It's utterly peaceful with a lovely ghat on the Ganges. We loved the complimentary yoga each morning - once it was just us and the teacher and they matched yoga to our skill level perfectly. It's lovely just to sit and watch the river go by. Staff were wonderful and extremely accommodating when we had to stay late at the hotel before getting a night train. Thank you all so much.
