Located in Chekadi and only a few steps from Kuruvadweep, Kalidasa Tree House and Villa, Wayanad provides accommodation with lake views, free WiFi and free private parking. There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay. The villa features family rooms. Loved to stay at Kalidasa. The place is beautiful, right near Kuruva island. The hosts were amazing and so was the food! They were super attentive and even organised a night safari for us. During the safari we were very lucky and got to see elephants, bison, deer and even a tiger!

Wayanad Wild is designed as a rainforest lodge, aimed at offering our guests an off-the-grid experience amidst the wilderness. Guests are requested to contact the property in advance to arrange transfers from the car parking area to the property. Kindly reach our parking facility at Lakkidi no later than 1800 hrs, as transfers after 1800 hrs are not encouraged due to wild animal movements in the area. We recommend carrying a pair of light trekking shoes for outdoor activities, insect repellent spray, and clothing suitable for the weather.

There is a 24-hour front desk at the property. Wayanad Wild has been designed to be family-friendly. After climbing a most impressive pass comprising of no more than 9 hairpin bends we popped out at the top to find the town of Wayanad. A jeep ride later traversing tea plantations we entered the heavily forested wonderland, which is the setting of the Wayanad Wild Resort. This CGH property is very well appointed, suitably understated to blend into the surroundings and clearly well managed by David Raju and his team. David is a leading naturalist in India having recently compiled two field guides on southern and central India with one on western India about to go to press. We saw things here that we had not seen elsewhere, particularly on the night tours, including 8 frog and 5 snake species! The rooms were very comfortable and the food was delicious. Our one night stay here, particularly the walks with Umesh, were memorable.

The property can arrange for campfire and a barbecue dinner. The resort is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and offers stunning views of Chembra Peak and the surrounding hills. Manager Vineeth and his team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Despite arriving at 5:30 a.m., Mr. Vineeth promptly responded to our call and kindly arranged an early check-in for a small additional fee. The self-service buffet breakfast was delicious, and while the canteen food was simple, it was consistently tasty. Overall, it was an excellent and serene experience. I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Wayanad.
