This was the best hotel experience I had on my trip. You could feel the human attitude and care in everything. and everything was just very pleasant. We didn't see much of the surroundings because there was a lot of fog and our stay was relatively short, but we experienced a magical atmosphere. Breakfast made from local products and warm, home-baked bread. This is a family business and you can really feel the family in this place.

The cottage has a kitchenette, flat-screen TV and terrace with BBQ facilities (available in the summer only). Egilsstadir Airport Is 2.5 km away. Really nice cottage on the lake off the main road. The location is very quiet. We had an issue with the shower that I messaged the host and someone was knocking at the door to fix it within 15 minutes in the middle of a snow storm at 8:30pm so that was really amazing. There was also oil and salt & pepper we used for cooking which most places don’t provide. The man that came to fix our shower also came in the mornings to shovel the snow off the porch and make a pathway to our car. Highly recommend this place !

This property offers sea-view rooms with access to a fully equipped shared kitchen. WiFi and on-site parking are free. Everything! EVERYTHING! The location has been so mindfully designed, people are amazing, the Menü in the restaurant is small, but delicious, the breakfast is truely hand-selected and home-made, the puffins, the hot tubs and saunas … and all of this for a very descent price! If I ever get back to Iceland (I hope I will), I‘ll make sure to plan at least another night here. thanks to the whole the team, we appreciate your effort.

Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. A very nice house, inside furnished with excellent taste, kind land-lady, great location for visiting Stuðlagil. Hingly recommended.

Great place to stay in an even better location just next to the nature! We stayed with my wife for two nights in their beautiful forest room “Skogar”, a wooden fully equipped private room with private bath. Very clean, with comfortable beds. We managed to cook our dinner and also prepared our breakfast in the kitchen. Lastly, the hosts were so friendly and kind that we thought we have been staying in our home place!
