I didn't expect it to be so but it was the BEST place I stayed during my 3 month trip to Japan. The owner is super friendly and helpful, same goes for the family members, I felt very welcome there, like a distant relative on vacation;) The breakfasts were delicious. The house itself is really beautiful, clean, and very close to the train station. It's very easy to get to all the Nara sightseeing spots. I cannot recommend this amazing place enough. If you hesitate - don't, you have found the best place to stay at around Nara:)

The culinary experience was exceptional, and the added bonuses of complimentary drinks at the lounge and a visit to the chicken farm made our stay truly delightful. Highly recommend for a memorable and family-friendly getaway.

Offering public baths, Sarusawaike Yoshidaya is situated in front of Sarusawa-ike Pond. Kofuku-ji Temple is just a 2-minute walk away. Free WiFi is available on site. This is a really good Ryokan! I love staying here. Very clean, genuinely friendly staffs and very good food. Every day it is a different ryokan meals.very delicious too.
