Love the room that opens out to a small Japanese garden onto the river. Onsen on the property is so lovely. The lovely European girl who checked us in was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. She stood out amongst the rest who were average. A beautiful stay in a very quiet desolate town. My favorite hostel due to its exceptional cleanliness and amenities.

ペンション ラリー ligger i Kawazu, 35 km fra Shuzenji-templet og 44 km fra Darumayama. Her er en tennisbane og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi overalt. What a gem! We arrived at Kawazu station and Kenji (?) was there to meet us. When we arrived at the property he took our bags up for us and explained all we needed to know. I think we had an upgrade because the room seemed bigger than the one I booked. The room hadn’t been made up yet as we arrived well before check in. We decided to go and do the 7 waterfalls walk and our host was so kind to drive us there. He explained how to get back on the bus and how much it would be. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We ended the afternoon by using the hot tub which was great. Bathroom and toilets were spotless. Outside the rooms there is boiling water, coffee making facilities, microwave and a wee stove and sink. There is also a sink for washing your face and cleaning your teeth. Be aware there is nowhere to eat close to the hotel. We were aware of this and brought food in with us. We found a tiny basic bakery just down the road and we bought a couple of flapjack type things for breakfast. This property is such good value and our host was kind and friendly. We have been in Japan for a month and this is one of our best stays. Loved it and would certainly recommend. Excellent value.

Host was really nice and explained everything about area. On our last day he drove us to train station so we wouldn’t struggle with our bags. Hill with train station is very steep and it would take us a lot of time and energy to do it without his help :) Thank you. Will definitely recommend to stay and we will come if we will be in the area.
