JamboHouse is a great place to stay if you want to explore Lamu. It's in the middle of the Old Town and has a great terrace to relax and enjoy the views. Arnold is an amazing host and provides you with all the information you need to enjoy the city(restaurants, activities, transport etc.). The breakfast (banana pancakes is amongst the options!) was the best we had during our trip!

Jua House har en god beliggenhed i Lamu indenfor kort afstand fra Shela Beach og Mnarani House og har udsigt til byen, en terrasse og gratis wi-fi. Excellent stay. Lovely authentic design, super sweet staff (shout out to Amani for always helping out with a big smile), and I LOVE the idea of the tea hour, as well as the wonderful fresh homemade breakfast. We will be back!

Star House 3 ligger i Shela, tæt på Mnarani House. Overnatningsstedet ligger 4 minutters gang fra Shela Beach, og der er gratis wi-fi overalt. It was fantastic all around. Abas the host was very helpful, the flat is in a great location and the finishing in the flat was very high quality. I would highly recommend staying at Star House.

Shela Bliss ligger 4 minutters gang fra Manda Beach og tilbyder indkvartering med et fælles opholdsområde, en terrasse og et fælles køkken. We loved the decor, the quiet situation and the breakfast served by Emmanuel who hosted perfectly. It felt like a real home, not an anonymous guest house. The beach was incredibly clean and despite the poverty very little was being hawked so it was truly peaceful. Shela is far preferable to Lamu.

Sai Shanti House ligger i Lamu, 3 minutters gang fra Manda Beach. Her er en balkon, have, og gratis wi-fi. Overnatningsstedet har udsigt til en have og ligger 2 minutters gang fra Mnarani House. Chris is an amazing host. The house is lovely, perfectly located and very reasonably priced. I was solo travelling and felt very safe at Sai Shanti!

Sai Shanti House ligger i Lamu, tæt på Mnarani House. Overnatningsstedet ligger 3 minutters gang fra Manda Beach, og der er gratis wi-fi overalt. Very warm and friendly reception. Beyond expectations! We were initially doubting to book due to a false comment of bathroom privacy issue, but we took chances and had a lovely stay, bathroom/shower is separated with locking mechanism from both sides. Host is super friendly, and greets/welcomes from Jetty, and even from Airport offers pickup service, which feels like home. We broke a glass accidently and they were cool about it too. Very accommodating, always at service to take us around as historical alleys there don't show up in Maps. We will return for sure.

We stayed at Ttunu House in January 2025, and it was simply incredible! The house is beautiful, lovingly restored, and tastefully furnished. There is truly not a single thing to complain about! The Ttunu House team—Cornelius, Stephen, and Jackson—did everything to make our stay perfect and unforgettable. Stephen cooks whatever guests desire, with only the cost of groceries charged, while the service itself is included. Upon request, we had the best tuna steaks of our lives, served with grilled vegetables and Kachumbari (a Kenyan tomato salad). For those looking for an extraordinary vacation far from tourist hotspots but without sacrificing luxury, Ttunu House is the perfect choice! We would love to come back.

Milimani Villa-Fully airconditioned Villa ligger i Shela med bjergudsigt. Her er en udendørs swimmingpool, en have og et fælles opholdsområde. Der er også gratis wi-fi. The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.
