The staff is kind and friendly. 2 minutes away from the beach, but if you don't mind walking there are so many different locations to swim and enjoy the sun if you are not into kite surfing. Breakfast is great! I totally recommend it!

Great pool. The manager is kind and professional. Will definitely come again.

The owner Anushka is a wealth of knowledge and was able to organize dolphin watching and onward travel for a reasonable price.

Ceylon Resort offers a children's playground. The area is popular for cycling, and car hire is available at the accommodation. Beautiful location surrounded by nature, with a big garden, where the delicious dinner buffet is served, made mainly from local food. Our room was a bit further, near a lake, and we were offered to use bicycles to get there faster. It was a peaceful place and the owner and all staff are super friendly and hospitable, you might find yourself leaving having another friend there. He arranged a full day safari in the Wilpattu national park for us, which we enjoyed very much. If you are considering visiting the Wilpattu area, we highly recommend staying here.

Kitelantis provides lagoon front accommodation in Kalpitiya. Among the various facilities of this property are a water sports facilities and an outdoor swimming pool. The property provides lagoon views. The staff are the best! Specially the manager Jessie, so nice to talk to and helped us with everything we needed. The rest of the staff were also lovely. Location is amazing, if you want a very beach jungle vibe this is the place. The pool bar was probably my favourite. Oh and if you want to go to the beach you go by boat, just a couple of minutes. Almost no tourist around.

The staff were outstanding, so friendly and helpful, the restaurant was great and breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Lastly, the location is brilliant, right on the beach with a great view.

Backwaters was a lovely spot on the doorstep to the western gate of Wilpattu. They organised a game drive for us (where we saw lots), a river trip and boat ride to our next destination. The rooms and grounds are full of nice, environmentally friendly touches, and the meals are great. Since the centre of the park is a little ways from this gate, a full day game drive turned out to be better than a half day - and allowed usto see lots of elephants at the end of the day.
