Chilled host Rafhan and his small team are very friendly and make a stay at this local island very pleasant. Rafhan can arrange various excursions of which I did the swimming with sharks and night fishing. I even caught a fish which the chef Anu, wonderfully prepared for lunch the following day.

The location is on the beach, no extra coverage is needed, fresh beach towels every day, fresh bedsheets, towels are impeccably clean, and the staff is exceptionally kind ( they do everything one needs even if that's not their job). The locals are different from other atolls, more tolerable and understanding for tourists than in any atol I've been to. Water stripped: the places deep enough to swim - white sand and the coral reef for snorkeling. Convenient for small children, with plenty of natural shade and enough sunbeds. The beach is long and extensive. The stores are a 1-minute walk from the hotel (please note that it is polite for you to cover your skin while walking into the center, as is customary on all atolls).

All the meals were delicious. The rooms were all the time cleaned and has full equipment. The communication with Raphael was easy, he helped us always with sweetheart. Our trips was setted up by him, and everything were perfekt.

It was exceptionally clean with very little sand on the floor for a beach place. The owner is very friendly and kind as well as the other staff. They picked us up at the pier when it was pouring and helped carrying our luggage back to the inn. The breakfast was good with options to choose from. They often help showing you places to visit on the island. They also offer tours with great destinations and good price. They also clean the room everyday which was a huge plus. Beach hotels usually get sand in the room.

The all inclusive was good (not excelent but it was quite nice). You can take snorkeling equipment and for a small amount they can feed the stingrays for you to take pictures (please note that you should discuss this when you arrive as it is needed to find a time window as a lot of boats come to do it). Would recommend to request daily cleaning.

Simply put, this is a truly magnificent place to stay in Maldives and there’s hardly anything one can compliant about. We visited The Residence in February, and it has been a fabulous experience. The island is conveniently located within a short boat ride from the local airport of Koodoo but at the same time warrants a feeling that you’re in a secluded paradise hideaway. It’s large enough so that you never feel it’s crowded and at the same time small enough to get from one end to another within a few-minutes bike ride (well-maintained bikes are provided complimentary for each villa). Beaches are beautiful with powder like sand, clean (though we’ve occasionally seen some debris) and the whole island enjoys lush greenery with hundreds of palm trees providing much desired shade and the jungle-like experience. The west side of the island seems a bit prettier due to spectacular green-blue shades of water; the east side of the island has seagrass at the bed which although very much needed to protect local ecosystems provides less spectacular water colours. The ability to go to the adjacent island via the wooden bridge connecting them is really nice and you can enjoy the sun at the sand bar located in between. The staff has been extremely nice and helpful, from the moment we’ve been taken over at the Male airport, through the journey to the island, at the reception, restaurants, water sports centre and everywhere else, we’ve always felt well taken care of. The villas are clean, extremely spacious (bathroom area is enormous), well maintained and equipped. Beds are comfortable, there’s plenty of seating area, AC and Wi-Fi work well, mini fridge is restocked every day. Again, the lush greenery separating villas in a very natural way provides privacy and shade, and most importantly the sea view is not obstructed.
