True southern hospitality shown to us! Our bags were collected at the ferry and taken to our unit so we could get to our tour on time. Kaka Retreat was wonderful and we even had a Kaka land a arms length from us at the unit.

The kiwi batch is clean very warm and a close walk to the beach, shop and ferry terminal. The hosts were great to communicate with and very flexible. Lastly the beds are extremely comfortable 😍

We were only able to book 2 nights if we were in different rooms. The first was more basic and the second had a sea view but in both rooms the beds were comfortable and we spent a lot of time in the lounge enjoying the view from there. We were allowed to check in early and could have bags held for us. The wifi was good. The staff were friendly and helpful especially as we were trying to find out about a historic family link to the island. It felt like the centre of island life.

The motel manager, Donna, is so lovely and she definitely made our stay memorable. The facilities are incredible and location is great. Surrounded by birds, bush and a minute walk to Oban centre. I just wish that I could stay there longer. Our whole group including our toddler had one of the best holidays. Amazing.
