Fantastic big wooden bungalow right by the river with netting on ceiling and windows, so we were protected from mosquitos. Feeling like sleeping outdoors in the jungle. Comfortable beds, even a hairdryer, which was not provided in many other hotels! Emmanuel and his family are very welcoming. They have a water dispenser for people to use on their terrace. One morning I was thirsty and thought I go quietly to get some water, as not to wake anybody up - only to be greeted by several "hola's" from Antonia. She with all the other animals are a delight to watch. Highly recommend to stay there. We also ate there and the cooking was very good. Emanuel organised a trip for us, we were totally looked after. We were picked up by our bungalow by boat, dropped off again and Emanuel's son awaited us with a torchlight as it was dark.

Enai is located in the forest, on the shore of the Madre de Dios River, 15 minutes from the city of Puerto Maldonado. Enai has a restaurant, outdoor pool, bar and garden. Hotel Enai struck the perfect balance between comfort and high standards, all set in an exotic location that made the experience truly memorable. The hotel itself was beautifully maintained, with modern, clean, and comfortable rooms that offered a relaxing retreat after each day’s adventure. The excursions available were genuine highlights – not just standard tours, but real adventures that gave us a sense of discovery and connection with the surroundings. It felt like exploring, not just sightseeing. The food was consistently excellent, with a variety of dishes that were both fresh and full of flavour. Every meal was a pleasure. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were always welcoming, friendly, and happy to help with anything – it made the whole experience feel warm and personal. Overall, a fantastic stay. I’d highly recommend Hotel Enai to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable escape.

A beautiful accomodation for after a jungle trip from Puerto Maldonado. Lovely pool. Really nice rooms. Tasty food and lovely staff. They also have yoga classes a couple of time a week. We had a great stay

Surrounded by lush tropical rainforest and accessed by the Madre de Dios riverboat from Puerto Maldonado port, Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion is located in Puerto Maldonado. This lodge exceeded our expectations. Amazing meals. Beautiful wild setting. Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Excellent guided tours (our guide Uriel was magnificent and fabulous at spotting wildlife.) The boat trips along the rivers were surreal, especially the morning breakfast boat out to see the wild parrots on the clay licks. The pickup and luggage storage services were added bonuses. This definitely requires a three night stay (which we did) 4 nights would have been out of this world.

Refugio Chabelita Hostel ligger i Puerto Maldonado med udsigt til en have. Her er en have, en restaurant og en bar. Der er også gratis wi-fi. The staff were very nice and very helpful. On the day of arrival in the afternoon they took us on a short tour of surroundings where they showed us local plants and the river. We event got to taste the raw cacao beans. They helped us call and order taxi because we don’t speak Spanish and Uber doesn’t work here. They have a small shop with fruits, bread, sweets and salts. Breakfast was excellent. We got avocado every day. With some rice, eggs or tamales. We also got bread and coffee or tea.

Great place to chill for a few days. All rooms are equpipped with fan and AC and private bathroom and fridge. Clean place all over. Theres a bar, a beautiful pool and the host is fantastic and very friendly. Even took us out to buy some food anf other stuff. Helped us with everything. This place wilk make you chill out. Its worth it. There is harldy anything bad we can mention.

CHOMI HOUSE TAMBOPATA ligger i Puerto Maldonado og tilbyder indkvartering med udendørs pool, gratis wi-fi, en have og en terrasse. Elmer and his family were great hosts. The comfortable house is in a lovely garden with free roaming chickens. We enjoyed the pool for cooling off in the midday heat. The balcony was great for bird- and agouti spotting. Elmer organized some very nice tours and generally took care of everything

Quirquincho House Lodge ligger i Puerto Maldonado og har udsigt til en have, restaurant, et fælles opholdsområde, snackbar, have og terrasse. A really lovely, peaceful place to stay, surrounded by the sounds of nature, with all the little whooping, scratching, hooting critters that abound. Nicholas, the host, was so helpful in sorting us out with various things, including day trips. It is quite a way from town so organise your food and drinks before you arrive, and don't be fooled by the distance on the map - the real distance is further as you bounce around swerving round potholes. Some taxis might not make the journey depending on the season. Here be dragons....
