ALISHAN HOTEL is located in Xianglin Village, Alishan Township, Chiayi County. It takes about 2.5 hours by car from Chiayi City to reach the Alishan National Scenic Area. It is probably the best hotel right inside the park. Some may think the hotel is dated, but there is a lot of history in the building. It’s not an inexpensive stay, but it’s worth it just to be next to all the trails. The rooms are spacious and great for families. Breakfast and dinner were included and the food is fresh and amazing; mostly Chinese food with some western options. The service is exceptional and attentive. The shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes and is very convenient.
