Located in Lake Placid, The Whiteface Lodge is 2.4 km from Lake Placid and is 2.2 km from Mirror Lake. My wife and I went to the Whiteface Lodge for our mini-moon, right after our wedding in November. Our stay was incredible - the room size was massive, and the bed and living area were very comfortable and well appointed. The guest facilities were amazing (including a small gym and game room, hot-tub and indoor pool), and the food at the restaurants was delicious. We really enjoyed the included breakfast every morning, and the complimentary cookies! We went during the off season so it was extremely quiet and peaceful during our trip, which we really appreciated and needed. Will be going back again!

Nestled on Mirror Lake, this Lake Placid resort offers free Wi-Fi, a private beach area, and rooms that feature a refrigerator and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. When we checked in, the clerk Kayla gave us a tour and and told us about different things going on in Lake Placid. She is a real gem. When she realized it was our first visit, she gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy. We also liked the nightly fire pits and got to meet alot of people from all over.

The innkeeper, Tamara, is a fantastic host. Her breakfasts are incredible. This beautiful Inn created one of the most relaxing weekends we have ever enjoyed. Very clean, quiet rooms. We stayed in the carriage house in the back in a King Suite with a spa bath and fireplace. The common area has a fridge with some essentials. Coffee maker is great too. The main house where the breakfast room and wine bar are located is a beautiful large house with the original charm from the late 1800's.

We LOVED this house!!! Everything from the large range of amenities to the warm comfy atmosphere was perfect. The host was very responsive and helpful and the decorations in the house made it feel like home. The kitchen was full of every different type of seasoning, a full pantry, and all the possible machines. There was an amazing sound system with TV’ in each room. Property is only 15 minutes drive from White Face mountain and 23 minutes from lake Placid. We would love to come back again for a skiing trip or summer vacation.
