We love the cabins, the quietness and just being here and unplugging for a few days. We even got permission to bring our 9 month old puppy. We felt rested and well just good when we left. Thoughtful touches like a welcoming note on arrival, fresh flowers, always-available home baked cookies and beautifully prepared, delicious breakfasts are just a few of the highlights I enjoyed during my stay. I visited the area to research family history and do a little birding, and Joe also set me up with some very helpful expert contacts, as well as gave me great advice about potential birding sites in the local area. This was perfect home base for my trip - great location and my room was clean, thoughtfully appointed, and serenely quiet. A+ hospitality, A+ comfort, A+ food, A+ and gorgeous log home in a lovely setting. I think it would be a great place for birders, anglers, cyclists and anyone wanting to enjoy the outdoors or just a getaway in the beautiful Finger Lakes area. My husband and I plan to go back to Firefly Creek Lodge together as soon as we can.

In addition, my wife forgot a favorite headband on checkout. The owner, Jeremy, was nice enough to let us know and then send back at his expense.
