We walked to the Nelson Adkins Museum, which is just two blocks away, and two of variety of great restaurants, which were a few blocks in the opposite direction. Our suite was incredibly spacious! We had a very large living room, nice size bathroom, and huge bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and hard to get out of in the morning! Loved how cared-for the place is. We will be back.

We loved the front desk staff, as they were very helpful with directions and suggestions of where to eat or visit while being in the city, seems as this was our first time in KC and that we were from the UK.

The manager Ansh was fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. The Victorian room was beautiful and very unique. The history and memorabilia in the hotel was very unique. La plata was a very special place for us and this property is just perfect would definitely recommend to any travellers!

The staff is always friendly and helpful, it’s clean, feels safe, the pool is great, great amenities and location. We (mostly our kids) LOVE the cookies and milk in the evening. It’s becoming tradition to come down for cookies and milk and spend quality times reflecting on our awesome vacation.
